Aran the Apocalyptic or Aran Sol, is an overarching antagonist to the Darwin's Great Akuma Universe, as well as numerous other fictions. Aran is a prophetic cosmic monstrosity in numerous written accounts that depicts a terrifying being bringing entire worlds, realities, storylines, narratives, and plots to an end. Thought to be a Supreme Primordial Demon that had lost its free will, and thus reached a state of limit breaking abilities, Aran's power far surpasses the likes of Kon Larum and potentially that of Inner Shadows, only ever appearing during the destruction of entire narratives and storylines. Due to the circumstances of Aran's presence, no one in history has been able to describe the full appearance of the Primordial Demon.

Wielding the special Primordial ability Apokolereos, Aran's presence is said to passively emit a deadly aura which disintegrates reality around it. Apokolereos acts independent to any external factors, meaning once Aran has stepped foot in a reality, the reality will be fated to disappear from a fraction of a second, to several hours, depending on what is fated to happen.

Very little is known about this Primordial. The only testament to its existence are the numerous prophecies that depict its presence in destroyed realities, as well as the claim by Loyce that he has recruited the being to his ranks.

Due to being a tool of prophecy and thus lacking in any semblance of a free will, emotion, and morals, the purpose of Aran Sol is to destroy, thus, according to Loyce, is the personification of A True Demon. This has also caused many to refer to this prophetic figure as a being of absolute evil.

Aran's terrifying reputation was finally cemented when he had done the one thing most destroyers were incapable of achieving: killing his creator and author - Darwin.

Powers and Abilities

"There is no greater power, than the power to end this story with a single thought."

- Loyce Hal

Determinist - Tool for Prophecy: Unlike other Primordials, Aran's powers do not appear to be called upon by its free will, meaning the Primordial acts based off of a higher narrative against its will. In exchange for this sacrifice, it is said that Aran's reality destroying powers surpass that of other Supreme Primordials, potentially stepping into the realm of the Ultimate Primordial, and beyond.

Supreme Primordial Demon Physiology: As a Primordial, it is assumed that Aran possesses the extraordinary and nigh-immeasurable might akin to its species. Including insurmountable strength, speed, durability, resistance, magical power, and genius intellect. Though the extent of these abilities are unknown, as it is known that Aran possesses [Determinist] - the absence of a free will, and that in exchange, the sacrifice for its free will was a power that surpasses the state of a Supreme Primordial.

  • Indestructibility: Due to Aran being a figure of destruction, one that brings entire realms of existence to an end no matter what, it can be deduced that Aran's presence cannot be stopped no matter how great the resistance of the reality fights back. These implications suggest that Aran is virtually indestructible and unkillable.
  • Extreme Multiversal Destructive Power: It is known that the special narrative bending abilities of Primordials can be negated, as with the case of Hakah Mah negating Loyce's Alogigenesis using her Stage Four Susanoo. However, despite the possibility of Apokolereos being negated, Aran is still able to destroy realities as follows by the law of prophecy and narrative. This suggests that even without Apokolereos, the Supreme Primordial is still capable of destroying reality and fiction with its inherent biological abilities, a testament to its immense power.

Apokolereos - The End of Reality: The only known power with certainty that Aran possesses. Apokolereos is an anti-narrative based ability that disintegrates reality, fiction, narratives, and entire storylines just from emitting a destructive aura from its user. It is written in the prophecies that Apokolereos is active at all times, passively emitted by Aran, meaning its mere presence is enough to take effect and destroy the setting in which Aran is in. There is no known resistance or counter to this ability, aside from Loyce's Alogigenesis, however, due to being an Anti-Narrative power, Alogigenesis is incapable of negating Apokolereos. The level of anti-narrative of Apokolereos is such that it is theoretically capable of passively negating Alstroemeria, another narrative based ability possessed by Primordial Kon Larum.

Replication: During his investigation, Inner Shadow Jun Gasket discovered that Aran was capable of eliminating realities in parallel, suggesting that the Primordial is capable of replicating itself to destroy and consume fiction in a manner similar to that of a virus. Killing one replicant of Aran will not affect the other replicants, and it is said that more replicants would replace the one lost.

Impact

"This is not a story about heroes. Nor is it a story about villains. Wherever Aran is involved, it becomes a story about the end.'"

- Loyce Hal

The implications of Aran's existence is colossal, due to the unimaginable degree of destruction the anti-narrative force can unleash. As a result of this, the reputation of Aran has caused many cults to emerge, those who praise the Primordial as an all powerful deity. At the same time, those who attempted to contain the Primordial were subsequently eliminated. Even many of higher narratives who attempted to contain Aran through "fiction scope" found themselves incapable of doing so - very few being able to fully capture the correct interpretation of Aran, or being able to successfully describe the Primordial but killed off by unexplainable causes.

Discovery

Aran was first discovered by Inner Shadow Jun Gasket, but this discovery would spell doom, as every one of Gasket's droids who were dispatched to look into the Primordial were erased from existence. As Aran's [Apokolereos] crept into the veins of the storyline, Jun began experiencing the aftereffects of his character nullification, causing his presence to be reduced significantly. Gasket was capable of countering this by creating a sacrificial proxy Jun Gasket, a technological clone of himself which would act as a proxy for which Aran would target. The proxy Jun Gasket found himself completely nullified from existence, while the real Jun Gasket would suffer from the aftereffects of indirectly contacting the anti-narrative. These aftereffects would be found in the storyline He Kills Gods as a Man, where Jun had stated that if Inner Shadow Hakah had ever intervened with Aaron's mission, he would step in and fight her, however, this never happened. The Inner Shadow's presence in the story had been reduced significantly, which was against the intent of the author.

The second instance of Aran's discovery would be through UNTIL, who's cosmological scout team identified elements of the Champions Universe being erased, as well as the development of the universe entering a standstill. This would be due to Aran entering the world, slowly eating away at the development of the universe and causing further plot development of the game to cease for several years. Agents of UNTIL who did identify the Primordial Demon based on information from a previous Primordial Demon in the past: Dasc, found themselves erased from existence by the anti-narrative, causing records of Aran to never exist in the database, nor his name ever mentioned and remembered again in the universes.

The third instance of Aran's discovery would be through PRIMUS, with the cooperation of Inner Shadow Great Demon Lord Loyce Hal, who utilized Alogigenesis to create a new rule for Apokolereos: to only erase records of the entity unless they were otherwise affiliated to Hal. However, shortly after the creation of Aran's record in the database, the author and creator of both Hal and Aran subsequently was eliminated from existence, his presence fading and new branches of fiction to cease to develop. However, it was revealed by Loyce that this was his plan all along - allowing him to fully weaponize and take advantage of both Aran Sol and [Apokolereos].

Followers

The Cult of the Church Sol is a religious cult developed to worship Aran, hailing the Primordial as an all powerful divine figure of destruction. It is unknown how such a cult exists given the destruction of many who acknowledged its existence, though this may be in part to Loyce's intervention.

The Cult of Church Sol follows a prophecy that eventually, Aran will cause the destruction of all things in the multiverse.

Affected Fictions

To date, by using highly advanced algorithms and estimation techniques developed by Jun Gasket and UNTIL, Aran has been recorded to have destroyed at least 46 trillion realities, and at least 558 thousand works of fiction. This number was concluded by Gasket to not be exhaustive, meaning there is a high possibility that Aran had destroyed far more than what was determined through the analytical techniques used.

Several notable examples of fictions that Aran has destroyed include:

  • Mogul vs. Remnants - Both the storyline, and the universe containing the Paladins of Acadia eliminated.
    • This also suggests that Aran's power surpasses even that of Acadian Paladins, a renowned warrior mercenary race with power that exceeds that of gods.
  • Jason Steele's World - Including the heaven and hell of Steele's universe.
  • Titans of Creation - A fictional world depicting the world being brought about by gargantuan cosmic entities who were said to be all powerful.
  • Scarlet God - A fictional world terrorized by the ancient and evil Old God.

Fictions and characters that were affected greatly by Aran's presence suffered through a partial deterioration to their development, or the emergence of major plot holes. It is unknown whether this was intentional, but it is unlikely that this was due to intervention keeping Aran from destroying them completely.

  • Jun Gasket - Partially erased from existence due to investigating Aran indirectly. The Inner Shadow's presence has now been reduced greatly in his stories.
  • Darwin's Great Akuma Universe - Halted plot development, likely due to Loyce's plan to eliminate Darwin and proceed without a higher narrative controlling him.
  • Champions Universe - Halted plot development.
    • B.A.S.H. Storylines - Expunged.
