Jon Grey is uncertain how old he really is. He may, in fact, be the first documented ParaHuman mutation on the planet. What is known is that, from his earliest recollection, Jon lived a childhood and youth of incarceration in what would later develop into the facility known as Stronghold Prison. During his incarceration, his Abilities were studied and catalogued by a multitude of scientists. Recently several hints and clues have come to light as to the origins of his existence, but nothing that can be followed or conclusively established.

With little for him to do during the long and many hours of isolation, Jon was taught to read and given the rudimentaries of an elementary education. He also developed a keen interest in games he could play on his own. Playing checkers, chess, solitaire, crosswords and reading became passionate past times for him.

Eventually, his situation was discovered by one of the super-soldiers of World War II – Valor!

Valor crashed through the prison and rescued Jon from his life's tormentors. Brought in to American life at the height of post-war prosperity, he was given the gift of the American Dream. Valor became his mentor, his confidant and his Father. Eventually, Valor paid for Jon to go to college where he triple-majored in History, Philosophy and Science. It was during this time that he became particularly fascinated with the Enlightenment and Transcendentalist thinkers which gave him hope, reflection and an appreciation for the small, everyday beauty of life. He also delved into the Existentialists, fascinated with their mantra of helping their fellow man, no matter how dire the situation. These elements, combined with his Powers and Abilities, inspired him to become a super-hero!

Eventually, Valor was diagnosed with cancer. The disease took one of the greatest heroes ever and wasted him away to nothing – a shriveled shell of his former self. Jon tried everything and at the end could do nothing but watch.

After his Father passed away, Jon decided to bridge the gap between metas and humanity. He wrote an auto-biography and self-expose entitled Silence Is Betrayal: The Autobiography of a Titan. Its goal was to espouse the shared history, heart and thoughts of all humanity, super-human and human alike. The book has made him a very wealthy man and freed him up to fight for truth and justice full time.

He has written other books as well: Quagmire of Thought, Applied Philosophies for All, and his most recent, The Lasting Learnings of Perspective and Reflection .

Titan's powers include Super Strength and Super Density derived from his contact with the Earth. His body is made of organic marble and his physique looks like it was carved from that rock in the style of Ancient Greek or Roman statues. Titan does not bleed or break bones conventionally, though he suffers the same effects. His wounds cause him to leak bio-energy and can be painful when he suffers them. He manifests Seismic Control powers using localized earthquakes and molten fissures. He is attuned to the Earth's gravity field and uses that to achieve flight and super leap abilities.

Additionally, he is a renowned Historian and Philosopher. He dabbles in a variety of Sciences and has a penchant for vocabulary and correct, grammatical usage.

He does have combat togs that he wears on mission or patrol. However, because he is a public figure, he is usually seen wearing a suit and fedora with his trademark ballistic nylon sunglasses with lenses backlit by his glowing eyes.

Jon Grey’s ideals and mannerisms all derive from the World War II era, something he is very proud of. He considers it good form to take a hat off indoors, to hold a door open for a lady. He enjoys blues, big band and jazz music and, almost always, falls into formal addresses when speaking to others. He subscribes almost wholly to that set of ethos and the dreams that inspired it – and hopes to pass this on to others.

His super-hero career has left him with numerous scarring across his body, most notably a scar over his right eye from the tip of Therakiel's sword that caused him to suffer a stroke in the aftermath of the battle. He has recovered from the stroke, but still evokes a speech impediment that he controls by clenching his left fist and jaw with a noticeable "Hrm" vocalization.
