(From Lady Westmoreland's personal journal)
I have been in this wondrous and dangerous Millennium City for five days now, and in that time, I have found myself both lauded as a genius, and physically assaulted for my desire to aid my fellow man.
The neighbourhood known as Westside is a vulgar and quite unpleasant locale, full of ruffians of highly dubious character, varied ethnic groups of strangely stereotypical behaviour, and far too many rather helpless members of the citizenry.
I have decided that, as much as I desire to return to my dimension after the unfortunate mishap with the Metagenic Translation Matrix, I will remain in this reality for the time being, if only to add my meager skills to the never-ending battle against the criminal element of this rather chaotic world.
Powers, Skills, and Attributes
Skills
PhD. Metascience - Lady Westmoreland possesses a doctorate in her alternate-universe subject of Metascience, which is a catch-all that includes computers, electronics, mechanics, physics, chemistry and some biology.
PhD. Nanotechnology - While the levels of nanotechnology Lady Westmoreland could, in some ways, be considered crude (being at the microscopic level, rather than the atomic level), what she does know can be applied to conventional technology with amazing results.
Babbage Computers - Often considered the ultimate example of purely mechanical computing, The technology behind the Babbage computer is utterly immune to such things as electromagnetic pulses and a lack of electricity. Indeed, Lady Westmoreland carries with her a tiny, clockwork Babbage computer for in-the-field calculations.
Attributes
Brilliant - Lady Westmoreland is, without a doubt, one of the most intelligent beings on the planet, perhaps even in the entire Solar System. She can perform arithmetic, trigonometry and even calculus in her head, and finds resolving advanced mathematical problems in her spare time to be 'fun'.
Electro-mechanical Genius - There are engineers. There are gadgeteers. There are tinkerers. Lady Westmoreland is all this and more. She builds Babbage computers out of spare parts, knows the ancient art of programmable origami (mechanical constructs made entirely of folded paper), and has even created an entirely artificial way to reproduce a telekinetic barrier.

Gear
Westmoreland Auditory Pistol - A device of her own design, the WAP emits concentrated sound waves in a cone to cause nausea, skin irritation and even convulsions in her targets.
Westmoreland Multi-purpose Pistol - Still somewhat in the experimental stages, the WMPP focuses a number of different energies for combat purposes. She is still trying to find out why it occasionally turns people into teddy bears…
Ultra-High Altitude Solar Bombardment System - Nestled in a retracting bracer, the Chainblade is a masterpiece of bloodthirsty engineering that, on hindsight, Lady Westmoreland is a little shocked she even created it. It is, however, very useful for felling trees and cutting cake.
CRUM Defense Automatons (2) - These brass and steel devices are a traditional prize for earning the coveted Duke/Duchess-rank of Metascience at the Cambridge Royal University of Metascience. They are designed to protect the Duchess in times of duress, and aid them in their experiments at other times. They are NOT intelligent, running on a compact Babbage computer system, but can follow spoken orders. Their power supply is a four-hour clockwork engine. In offensive mode, they can plant themselves firmly on the ground and unleash some good, old-fashioned rotary-cannon fire.
Westmoreland Biotech Implant - Based on an earlier design by an earlier CRUM Duchess, the improved WBI surrounds Lady Westmoreland in a cloud of beneficial nanobots. These bots are some of the smallest ever created through her world's technology, and while they would be visible under a microscope, they are essentially invisible to the naked eye unless clustered together in a thick cloud. Their power source is a clockwork micro-engine of Lady Westmoreland's own design, which uses the drones below to rewind them when running low on power. Depending on their setting, they can concentrate their repair functions on Lady Westmoreland, or she can enable them to help protect and repair all her allies.
Westmoreland Biotech Drones (2) - Coupled with the WBI system above, the WBDs are a merging of the CRUM Automaton and WBI technology, further enhancing her ability to protect her allies. With a quick flip of a switch, she can shut down the repair systems and replace them with an energy pulse weapon. They are powered by the same four-hour clockwork engine as the automatons, except that it drives a series of fans to give them flight capabilities.
Reprogrammed Black Harlequin Attack Toys - Finding them quite adorable, Lady Westmoreland has reprogrammed and repurposed a number of the Black Harlequin's Attack Toys for personal use.
Solar-Dirigible Energy Concentration Weapon - Originally created to enable forestry engineers to cut firebreaks in remote woodlands without needing to go into the field, Lady Westmoreland's SDECW system is perhaps her greatest masterpiece thus far. Using a solar-capacitor of her own design, the Solar-Dirigible can store truly astounding amounts of power, to be unleashed through the use of her small Babbage computer (see below).
Westmoreland Pulse Rifle - A newer invention, the WPR is a long-range, variable, sustained-fire rifle that is still in the 'tinkering' phase of construction.
Artificial PK Energy Barrier - Based on Lady Westmoreland's doctoral thesis on the emergence of psycho-kinetic abilities in humans of her own reality, her energy barrier design was the culmination of over two years work. It artificially reproduces the mysterious energies that enable psycho-kinetics to erect a protective barrier between themselves and danger. She has even found a way to extend the effects for a few seconds after it's initial projection.
Enhanced CRUM Babbage Computer - As mentioned above, Lady Westmoreland possesses a highly advanced example of a Babbage computer, it's workings hand-cut at sizes that would make a master watchmaker weep at the intricacy and detail. This device communicates with her full-size Babbage computer, as well as her Solar-Dirigible Energy Concentration Weapon system. It can also calculate Pi to over 500 decimal places, contains the formula for trigonometrical functions, and with a few seconds, can expand Lady Westmoreland's already razor-sharp, problem-solving mind to near-supernatural levels.
Westmoreland Contra-Gravity Chariot - While Lady Westmoreland would dearly like to claim self-mastery over gravity – both the weakest and most obstinate of the physical forces – she concedes that the basic functionality of her contra-gravity chariot is, in fact, based on alien technology that she reproduced after carefully inspecting a Qulaar scout ship in Champions headquarters.
Swingline - Coupled with a magneto-grapple claw, this standard-issue, Harmon-designed swingline is a favorite tool for heroically, and literally, swinging into action.
