Background and History
Origins
According to a very long, and verbose interview with "Spiral" as he now prefers to be called, the Solstarin race are energy beings who reside within a galactic core. Having originated from the same source (the big bang), they are all mentally connected over immense distances, which is how they maintain a sense of community. There is no available information on how FTL communication is possible, so this cannot be proven. What IS proven is that Spiral is without a doubt a being of nigh limitless, and inextinguishable energy.
Spiral claims to have spent the last 18 million years journeying away from the galactic core, in search of something more interesting. He says he is from a different galaxy entirely, and uses the natural spin to gain velocity and launch himself to different locations. After studying Earth physics research, he claims not only that his movements are at FTL speeds, but that his body remains decompressed during long-distance travel; a size of approximately 700,000 light years in height. Scientists have not been able to confirm this, though studies of Spirals body have led to the hypothesis that he may not actually be lying.
During his journey, Spiral claims to have compressed himself into what he considers a microscopic form, in order to interact with other sentient cultures. He arrived in the Milky Way galaxy almost a century ago, and has since been visiting various interstellar communities to learn their culture. This has inevitably led him to Earth, which is a hotspot of interdimensional and insterstellar species. Spiral claims he intends to "stay local, get a job, and enjoy Earth while it lasts." Questions were raised about potential global-scale extinction events, but Spirals reassures that a million years to us, are a weekend to him, and he intends to settle for much longer than that.
Powers and Abilities
Powers
Super Strength - - As his body is made of pure energy, and not muscle tissue, his strength is variant on the amount of energy he's willing to expend to move an object. As the limits of his energy are unknown, his strength cannot be accurately measured. However, he has promised that he will not "go overboard" in regards to utilizing his physical prowess.
Elemental Kinesis - Spiral claims that part of his physical being, is a gravitational force that can be manipulated on an atomic scale. This way he can condense minerals from the ground and air to produce rocks and boulders for physical weaponry. These minerals get re-used if they remain local, which considerably limits collateral damage.
Compression and Decompression - Being made entirely of energy, he can compress his body to be smaller, or decompress to become larger. At smaller sizes, his body becomes made of an impenetrable "hard light," much like what is used in ego constructs. This smaller form can be altered in appearance to resemble skin, so he claims the smaller he gets the less comfortable he is. In combat, damage done to his body required him to occasionally re-compress to his absolute smallest, expanding slowly over the course of physical activity. In social instances, he maintains a static height of nearly 30 feet.
Personality
Spiral is overall cheerful and friendly, and well versed in the ways of Earth, all things considered. He claims that most species seem to follow social structure templates, which makes it easier to adapt to a new world. Normally being very large and very glowy, he on occasion is an unintentional nuisance to others, but he takes this in stride as he works to compress himself to a more adequate form. Spiral can be very curious about "Terran" races, and may not realize that not everyone on earth may be FROM earth.
