Bio
As a member of the MCPD, Meredith Palmer became embroiled in a messy relationship with her (married) supervisor. It ended badly, and in an attempt to rebuild her career, she took an assignment as a volunteer test pilot for an experimental combat suit intended for use by police forces.
Meredith threw herself wholeheartedly into her new assignment, and as a result made many suggestions as to how the suit could be improved. These led to a number of significant revisions to date. Most significantly, Meredith raised concerns about the use of shaped force fields as the suit's primary weaponry and the enormous risk for significant collateral damage they posed, calling the suit a "potential weapon of mass destruction, even in the right hands." Accordingly, they have been repurposed for a more defensive role, with their offensive role being taken by regulation police pistols, instead. The suit's electronics and targeting systems have been adjusted to compensate for the change.
After a year of such testing, she has recently married the designer of the suit, the superhero Aegis, who uses a powered suit himself. The pair have moved to Vibora Bay, where Meredith (with a brand new suit) has joined the MARS team. She is a reserve member of Black Sun, due to her responsibilities to the VBPD.
