Personality
Andy Rich had a normal childhood for a shy teenager, usually hiding in his "shell" away from social activities and his classmates. After the accident and his transformation to Cicada, Andy slowly became a different person, mostly due to his line of work involving cults, and seeing the cruel side of people; slowly becoming more self-centered, and a lot more distrustful of others. Cicada compares his life to a actual cicada's life; shedding his old shy life as Andy for his new distrustful life as Cicada, like how an adult cicada sheds his old shell, in a way trading one "shell" for another. He still suffers somewhat from his past shyness, which is doubled with his distrust of others: having a hard time talking or being around a female; hiding from others; or openly standing away from others
Cicada can also be called a hopeless romantic in a way; longing to have a wife to have children with. This dream of his is also fueled by the fact that cicadas are symbolically linked to birth and mating rituals, using this Cicada wants to be with someone who seeks out his "song" which is symbolized by how he lives his life. Cicada also suffers from abandonment issues resulting from; never speaking about his feelings with loved ones, never having friends for long, and generally being alone having to watch the world around him advance without him. Because of his abandonment issues and his general view on love, Cicada tries to have a distrustful and reserved attitude towards others.
In battle he tries to take out the stronger enemies or attract his opponents attention: believing it will somehow help his allies.
Cicada's Fighting Style
Cicada tends to use distracting tactics, such as luring or drawing the enemies' attention from his allies. His best abilities are his ranged attacks; which distract and open an enemy up for attacks, and his siphon abilities which allows him to either heal himself or some of his allies in the heat of battle. Cicada's reflex suit also provides defensive abilities ranging from hardening like armor to sending out electrical shocks either around him like a giant taser or thru his gloves for strong punches. His Glider is also his greatest asset, capable of propelling him across great distances and setting him up for aerial attacks.
