~ Introduction ~
Zoey Laylen, better known as Kiara Kokoro is a very cheerful, quirky and free spirited young woman full of energy and passion as well as anxiety and insecurities. Kiara, also known by her nickname, Koko is a very caring young woman who puts her heart into everything she does. Born with a love for excitement and entertainment, she often finds herself getting into trouble, often due to her innocent, playful and flirtatious behavior.
Kiara is typically very energetic, with a supercharged personality that is strange and unpredictable in most situations. She loves to flirt and tease, but most of all she loves to make people laugh and smile. Through all the kooky... the energetic... free spirited and flirtatious behavior... Koko's personality is laced with insecurities, anxiety and little quirks that make her a very shy, innocent and awkward girl in many social situations. Her up and down moods can easily flip back and forth with the right or wrong stimulation, even though often enough she carries herself in a very energetic... cheerful... happy... and "kookoo" way.

~ Childhood/Early Teens ~
Born October 31st, 1995 under the name Zoey Laylen Murcutio to a wealthy and world renown financial advisor, Rosalinda Murcutio. Zoey was born a very cheerful and care free baby, one quick to learn and even quicker to get herself into trouble thanks to her insatiable curiosity.
When Zoey was just a new born she was left to a wealthy friend of Rose's who had trouble conceiving a baby of their own. The Jyinno family happily took Zoey in and after a few years were able to provide her with a sister and baby of their own, Sayuri. Yuri and Zoey quickly became so close that they rarely left eachothers side even in the thickest of situations. As the two girls grew up their curiosity got them into way more trouble then they could handle, but their wealthy family and personal care taker kept them busy with chores, home schooling. The girls were taught all sorts of academics and activities including formal dance and proper etiquette as well as how to cook, clean, and take care of a home/estate.
When the girls were teen's they were finally allowed to leave the huge family estate with the supervision of their caretaker. The girls were taken to see all sorts of places around tokyo, most being tourist attractions, religious shrines, historical hot spots, and museums. The girls curiosity got the better of them and as they got older they were allowed to leave for set periods of time every few days. The girls loved to explore the city and all it had to offer but were very cautious and careful of the many dangers that exited. Even though they had been very sheltered, they knew the dangers of the city they lived in.
~ Family ~
~ Isamu Shigarru/Jyinno: Zoey's foster father, Yuri's birth father.
Isamu was known as a liaison for many of the Yakuza clans within Tokyo. His role amongst the organization was to oversee deals between the clans to make sure there was no conflict or disagreements between all or any parties involved. A lot of his work was dangerous even though it was a legitimate job with the local authorities and police force. Some rumors say that Isamu was a rat amongst the organization but there were never any incidents that would have made these rumors more then just petty rumors. Isamu made sure to teach his daughters of the dangers of the people and the world outside of the family estate. He was determined to make sure both girls never got tied into any kind of work related to criminal organizations or worse.

Sumi was a very sweet and kind woman. She went to law school but ended up as a teacher in one of the larger universities in the area. She was from a very wealthy family who had many generations of work with the legal system of Tokyo and surrounding areas. Sumi did the best she could to keep active in the legal system even though she never officially worked for the legal system. During the birth of Zoey and Yuri, Sumi quit her job and became a stay at home wife. She picked up work with the local legal system and was able to work straight out of home. Her work kept her busy but she did manage to spend some time with her daughters, teaching them the ways of business and the legal system.

When Zoey was born Rose could not take care of her due to her involvement with her work, world wide. Rose was a very successful financial advisor for both private parties and corporate organizations. Rose's background is very shady, a lot of which is missing from an sort of public records. However a record of her birth exists in London. It claims she went to law school but switched over to business and finance's right before graduation which forced her to take several more years in order to complete a full degree under either of her major's. After she graduated she opened a small investment firm that grew and was sold within a few years for several million dollars. After selling the firm, Rose became a private financial consultant and much of her work with private parties and corporations became hush hush.
~ Mai Mijami: Zoey's caregiver.
Mai grew up in the slums of Tokyo, her family was so poor she couldn't afford to go to school. Mai's family was killed during a Yakuza gang war and she was taken in by the Jyinno family. She was put through school to learn etiquette, care giving and how to teach. From then on, she lived and worked on the Jyinno family estate. When Zoey and Yuri was born she was put in charge of taking care of the two girls and did so with the dedication and love of a mother.
~ The tragedy and move to The States ~
When Zoey was a teen her sister, Yuri passed away. The reason's for her death were kept from the public but rumors say that the Yakuza was involved. Zoey was hit hard by her sisters death and attempted to kill herself. She was put immediately in a facility that specialized in the care, evaluation, and treatment for mentally ill teenagers. Zoey closed herself off from the world and wouldn't even communicate with her family for the months she spent in the care of the facility.
Zoey only communicated with her mother, Rose, during her stay in the mental hospital and thanks to her mothers help she was released from the facility before any real evaluation was complete. Zoey went back to living with her foster family but she was a completely different girl. Her hyper and curious attitude had shifted to a much more bashful and closed off sort of behavior. She spent a lot of time hiding in her room or the many gardens of the family estate.
Years had passed by since the death of Yuri and Zoey never really seemed to recover from it. One mid summer day a fire broke loose at the Jyinno family home killing many of the people within. The blame was given to the Yakuza that Zoey's father had worked with for so many years. During the fire, both of Zoey's parents were taken from her but Zoey was found sleeping in the family garden house which she spent lots of time in. Zoey was taken in by one of the maids and the two were allowed to live in the Jyinno family's garden home which was on the edge of the family's estate. When Zoey was told of what had happened she tried to kill herself again and was taken in by the same facility that had taken her in before.
When Zoey was eighteen Rose was able to get Zoey out of the facility, however she only had one place to go. Rose took Zoey back to her home in Detroit, USA. At first Zoey closed herself off from the world and did everything she could to avoid staying at her mothers penthouse. She even went as far as sleeping on the streets and in the shelters of the west slums of the city. As time went on, Rose did everything she could to get closer to her daughter and slowly their relationship built. Zoey's mod and behavior turned around and she managed to deal with the past in her own way. Zoey started living with her mother and even started to make friends in the city.
~ In the Public Eye ~
~ "The gallery of a Sparrow" ~
"The gallery of a Sparrow" is a privately owned art gallery known for hosting auctions for priceless art and it's collection of rare and priceless artifacts, many of which are known to have very distinct legends tied to them. The owner of the gallery is "Amanda Ross", an extremely wealthy woman known for being a recluse and owner of a private investment agency known as "Ohni Ind."
Zoey's mother, Rose, has been good friends and business partners with Ms. Ross for a long time. Ms. Ross has always had an interest in Zoey ever since meeting her at a young age when Rose first showed Ms. Ross one of Zoey's paintings, a hobby Zoey picked up and became very good at at a young age. Ms. Ross had an eye for investments and saw a talent in young Zoey that needed to be nurtured so she turned to Zoey's foster parents, the Jyinno family and invested in advanced art classes to help teach Zoey how to express her creativity and talent with paint on canvas.
As the years went by, Zoey's interest and talent grew, so did her paintings. She had taken a liking to painting very colorful fantasy landscapes and scenes from fairy tails on extremely large canvas', some reaching the size of fifteen feet high and twenty feet wide. Ms. Ross took an interest in Zoey's paintings and decided to buy and collect all of the ones she could, displaying them in the halls of her gallery located in the heart of down town Detroit.
~ March of the Damned ~
The "March of the Damned" is a live metal/rock concert taking place every saturday night at the Minefield, that was started by James Valentine, the front man/founder of the heavy metal band "Prey the Hopeless". The band picked up Kiara in March of 2015 as a vocal assist to their already impressive line up. Her performance was liked so much that she quickly became the headline of the show under the stage name, "Diva of the Damned" and the already famous front man decided to step back and let the rising star take the spot light. After several seccessful shows they started recording some of the live performances as a demo that was released in early June of 2015 under the cover name, "The Diva of the Damned". The lengthy collection of live performances and covers became free of charge for anyone interested. During the production of the free album a series of photo shoots were done with Kiara as the front woman along side Jamie and his band, "Prey the Hopeless".
In late June 2015 the band, "Prey the Hopeless" began recording of their fourth studio album with Kiara's vocals as primary in some songs and vocal assists to Jamies in others. Recording of the album caused the band to miss two of their shows in a row, while the band hit the recording studio hard. Early July, With much of the material they had worked on recorded the band headed back out on stage to continue their "March of the Damned" performances with Kiara leading the show. The album was planned for release later that year.
