Background 
Early life
John was born October 8, 1916 in Los Angeles, California. His parents, Steven and Jessica Reynolds, were modest people with a sense of humility. They taught him honor and duty along with love to his country. Due to his Catholic upbringing and a great hope instilled In him, he believed that there is nothing truly impossible. John admired his parents, he considered them to be real heroes. They were his role models and inspiration. Like them he wanted to help people and couldn’t stand to see anyone suffers. John was frail and sickly since childhood, but that never stoped him from standing in somebodies defense.

Becoming Liberty Guard

When the war started to take over Europe, U.S. government felt a threat coming from the Nazis. To convince citizens to join the war, they needed to guarantee America will win the war. That is how Project Savior was created. The goal was to breed an army of super soldiers, with a power to end Hitler’s reign of terror. John’s father, Dr. Steven Raynolds was handpicked to lead the experiment. His task was to create a special formula with a ability to bring human into next level. The tests lasted months and they did not produce the expected results, every test subject died. However, Doctor Reynolds, did not give up. Work consumed all of his time.
Meanwhile Johns sickness grew stronger, his life was at risk. He was weaker with each day. The disease was incurable and even John's father could'nt save him. Doctor Reynolds had only one choice, use the formula on his son and hope it will work. Thats when a miracle heppened. Not only John was healed but also his body evolved into superhuman level.
