Evangelion
"The Next Hinokami. To replace the one lost by the Dogma. Evangelion, the Hinokami Killer. A monster was created to handle the Hinokami without suffering from the consequences of sacrifice. You have witnessed just how powerful it is, considering even Kon Larum was incapable of overpowering the creature. Yeling will not fall to my hand, nor shall he fall to Loyce's. His story ends. By being torn apart by his replacement."
- Spirit of Hope Vala on Yeling's fate to Evangelion
Evangelion, the Hinokami Killer, is the fourteenth Dogma Holder for Hinokami, the God of Fire, a spectral entity that made up the flames of The Great Akuma. Unlike its previous thirteen predecessors, Evangelion is not human, but rather an engineered monstrosity, a byproduct of taboo and forbidden practices for the purpose of obtaining as much power from the Dogma of Equivalent Exchange as possible - with the morality of sacrifice being completely neglected due to the nature of Evangelion's monstrous and mindless nature. Initially an SS+ Ranked Inner Shadow to The Black Legion Organization, Evangelion defected to Loyce Hal' and Vala's side, most likely by manipulating its mindless nature to betray the organization and to steer its main desires to serve the other side.
A terrifying figure of destruction, Evangelion was created for the sole purpose to hunt and kill Yeling Mah, the thirteenth Hinokami Dogma Holder, and to replace him in reviving The Great Akuma. Possessing monstrous power, completely immune to the otherwise mind breaking exchanges of unlocking new stages of an Akuma Dogma Grade, Evangelion possesses, possibly, the highest number of stages for an Akuma Dogma Holder in existence, having unlocked Hinokami Stage Eight.
According to Vala, Evangelion is destined to fight Yeling and kill him in a vicious one-sided battle ending in the latter's death.
