In the Fall of 1914, a lone Russian soldier, Pvt. Kiril Ivanov deserted his post at the Battle of Łódź, being ill-equipped and no longer believing in the Tsar. As he fled into the forest, he could hear the cry of a baby. Find the poor child naked in the snow, he took pity on her and took her home. At first thinking her skin color was the result of the cold, the soldier realized she was not human.
Over the years, he and his family kept her existence a secret. It also became clear that the girl, now named Anastasia, would grow up and age more slowly than they would. Still, the Ivanovs treated as her own. Over the years, she grew up to see her adoptive parents, their children and even grandchildren grow old and die while she remained young.
By the time of the fall of the Soviet Union, Anastasia was the equivalent of her upper teens, without knowing anything about herself. It was time to find some answers. She left her family behind and approached an UNTIL peacekeeping unit, no longer seeking to hide herself.
In the following decades she endured arduous training and found a natural talent for combat. The one talent that she durprisingly as a dark elf lacked was magic. She surprisingly had no magical potential for magic. It was probably the reason she was abandoned to die in the snow over a century ago.
Now armed with the knowledge of her heritage, she has left UNTIL and started her journey as an adult. Where it will take her, none can say.
