Born in Toledo, Ohio, not too far from Millenium City, Saiyuu grew up to the sight of news about heroes, villains, and other such unusual sights. Dreaming of the day she would have such power, she was so very disappointed when at first she turned out to have no fancy, overwhelming powers, despite having had metahuman blood down the family line. In time, she would grow up somewhat disheartened and bitter about such, which helped develop her somewhat introverted and sarcastic personality in her younger years.
Childhood and the early days of her teenage were all too normal for her. She went to school, she made friends, she lost friends, she dealt with bullies and jocks, the list goes on, things that tended to paint a clearer picture on how she should restrict her friends list to a bare, trustable minimum. Her sarcastic, witty nature, acted as an efficient shield, and when it failed she still fought back in whatever way she could. Still, one might associate a certain drama to this period of her life. Her first crushes were something of a frustration, with the first one being "stolen" by another girl who she thought a close friend, and the second one who thought of little more than himself most of the time. But she learned from these experiences, matured even. The first sign of her unusual power however, was rather subtle. The pain, the tears, the bad things that she acquired from the annoying surrounding drama? She could put it away. At first, she thought it was much like most people did it, but it wasn't the case. She found a degree of ability to "command" that. Stop herself from crying at one time, only to cry it all later, or simply be sad for a longer period, or incredibly sorrowful for a very short amount of time.
At first, she thought little of it, assuming it was more of a regular Human ability, but eventually, little by little, started to find that it applied to many other things. Simple things, but that when put together painted a bigger picture. Examples such as spending afternoons sleeping, only to be able to turn that stored "sleeping" into an equivalent amount of extra hours of awareness, or even bursts of increased attention. Other silly things were stored, naturally. Once, she stored "hunger", finding herself well satiated, and releasing that hunger once she arrived at a pizza parlor, eating twice the usual amount of slices. Slowly, she found, that she had a rather unusual ability. Saiyuu was able to "store" things, and not in the way most teenagers did.
Excited at the thought that maybe this could be her "superhero" power, she sought to take up PRIMUS's tests, but oddly enough they failed to identify the presence of any power within her. Later, she would happen that her power had the quality of being "non-existing" when not in extensive use. Nonetheless, this struck her documentation as a more regular Human, and thus she failed to join any of the Hero Academies thanks to that. Most didn't even bother seeing what she could possibly do, and she wasn't exactly the best at explaining the ability. It took some of her motivation away, naturally, but not entirely. In the following years, she still kept practicing with the ability, searching for its limits, its workings, trying to understand it. Searching in the internet, databases and so on, didn't result in much. It was that rare of a power. "Accumulating things"? Everything, in fact? That was unusual, to say the least.
Nonetheless, Saiyuu sought to lead a more or less normal life after the fact. She managed to enroll in a more regular college, under a course of Game Design, and joined the volleyball team in order to get some discounts on her pay. She found a nice, warm basement apartment to crash at, adopted an overly chubby cat by name of "Lancelot". Most of her life at that point became narrowed down to studying, playing games, playing volleyball, lazing about back home, and doing the occasional discreet hero work with the local police. While carrying a considerably powerful power, things didn't always work out too much to make her popular, and she didn't particular seek it. In fact, at times she hated having such powers. The lack of them in her youth, the hardships she felt she went through during that time, made her resent the notion of even having them in first place, feeling that sometimes society judged people too much based on their abilities. However, when push comes to shove, she'd still step up and try to do the right thing. And the effort paid off. Eventually she was able to properly register as a Hero and have a proper ID with UNTIL, and well, college terms was finally catching up to its end and it wouldn't be too long now before she'd finally graduate.
Prooooblem is, once more, things seem to have turned upside-down. One recent day, Saiyuu found herself waking up to look in the mirror to suddenly find that she had grown things. Well, very awkward things. Things in the shape of large, demonic horns on her head, a pair of bat-like wings on her back, and a very typical Demon tail. What the heck? Since when?! That had to be a joke. No, she was supposed to just be a Human. Why now? Of all times for this oddity to happen. And what were these odd dreams she was having? Dreams of herself, but not herself? Confusing, to say the least. Suffices to say that being accused of cheating on volleyball on account of having wings is the least of her headaches.
After looking into it and consulting the help of a few knowledgeable people, she discovered a few confusing things. For one, it seems that she indeed turn into a Demon. Specifically, a Succubus. Yet she doesn't seem to be particularly tied to any of the Hells as of yet, having retained the former human quality of "Free Will". It also led her to discovering that her previous power, "Quality Banker", seems to be an unique quality of hers. The deals that Demons are usually capable of making with mortals, to borrow them powers? She's capable of doing it to herself. It is what allows her to "borrow" qualities to use them by paying them later. According to knowledge found from the cooperation between a Knight of the Cross and a Lilim, Saiyuu is what appears to be a reincarnation of another 'self' of hers, from a different world, with her life as a human having served more as a maturation period until she was prepared to manifest her true form. Consulting with a few more individuals of a mystical persuasion have revealed similar answers.
While initially not manifesting any sort of old memories, Saiyuu has started realizing that she does possess the 'sensation' of old experiences if she taps deep enough into it. Flying into a rain and feeling like it has always been her favorite thing, despite having never done such a thing. Feeling the magic within her that she never even thought existed. Telling a friend about a relationship she never had. So many experiences of a life she doesn't remember living, buried deep within, yet feeling at an arm's reach. At least she's found that the changes haven't been all too bad. It certainly helped her make new, reliable friends that have been helping her through the otherwise difficult period.
Recently, she has come in touch with Sato Usidora, CEO of Ōnamuchi Foundation, a worldwide company specialized in science, engineering and a focus in robotics. Possessing particular qualities and personality that happened to appease the woman, she was hired to act as her personal secretary, under the official position of Executive Assistant. With the promise of a hefty pay, great benefits and a benefactor that didn't seem to mind the fact she was no longer human, it seemed like Saiyuu's economic life might finally start taking a turn towards the better.
About Saiyuu
Saiyuu was once just a normal girl, or at least as normal as it goes for Humans. Not tall, nor perfect, even if quite cute and curvy. Long years being a game geek and an otaku have given her a little extra weight, but nothing serious - for Christ’s sake she’s just a little chubby (or so she claims). In very recent times, a transformation happened, apparently having triggered some sort of "awakening" on her that caused Demonic wings, horns and tail to appear, and a lot of Succubus-like inclinations. Other than that? She likes to spend a lot of her time playing games, browsing the internet, chatting online, watching anime or movies or reading magazines and books at her little apartment. When she’s not doing that, she’s either doing her obligatory time in college or trying a bit of hero work out in the streets. In recent times she has been feeling curious enough to head out to clubs and spend time there. With her body figure, she's rather confident about her looks and tends to wear rather flattering garments, and seldom feels shy about putting make-up or making herself pretty.
She holds a rather friendly personality. While she can be reserved at times, among strangers, she can prove to be far more outgoing and playful when among people she knows and trusts, sometimes even drawing a joke or ten out of her. Saiyuu does however have a rather nastier side that comes out when she's feeling nervous, angered, humiliated or provoked. This side comes in the form of an extremely witty-sarcastic big-mouthed person. When the sarcasm-machine is cranked, there is no stopping it, one can only fall silent and hope for its burst to go away as quickly as it came. Another part of her personality comes in the form of being rather open and sometimes unknowingly flirtatious with people she feels comfortable with, and also very curious and adventurous to a degree. Recent times have seen her gaining a certain growth in both maturity and self-confidence.
Now that we spoke about her personality, let’s proceed to her looks. Saiyuu has aqua green eyes, and a bright red and wavy mane of shoulder-lenght hair. Her height is regular, but she’s relatively short in comparison to more athletic girls. She’s curvy and is on the limit of her weight, if she gained a few more pounds she’d be considered a chubby girl. Her breasts are quite large, as for her waist, she has a regular waist and wide hips and thighs. In general, her body type is of an hourglass. While not enjoying leaving her apartment for many hours, she’s still quite clean and often takes bathes, so unlike most people that like to stay locked at home, she’s very clean. Recent times saw the manifest growth of a pair of demonic wings, horns and a tail, and a greater appreciation for revealing clothing.
Due to playing volleyball at college, she has an excellent reaction time and her passing skills are above average, and she's known to play in the position of a Libero. Being such a good player makes her someone quite popular among volleyball fans from her college but she seems to avoid and hide most of the time if she can avoid it. Due to the last years living alone, she has learned how to be a good cook, but mostly can prepare junk food and things not-so-healthy. Her favorite hobby is using, programming and fixing computers and small mechanic equipment. She has a real addiction for computers and loves games too, being a rather good player. Though she likes most kind of games, she prefers MMO’s and strategy games, which she’s quite good at.
With the discovery of her true nature as a Succubus, she still seems the same Saiyuu. Still enjoys being lazy, still enjoys her games and hobbies, and hasn't found any particular appeal about committing murder, eating souls, or anything of the sorts, although she certainly now understands where a lot of her tastes come from. It seems to be a fresh period of transformations in her life. Changes she didn't see happening that are now pushing her into coming out of the shell she built around herself. Maybe not everything about that Succubus lineage is so bad?
Powers, Skills, and Attributes
"Quality Banker" - A most unusual power and an incredibly powerful one when employed in the right way and conditions. "Quality Banker", as it was named by Saiyuu, is an unique power of metaphysical nature, functioning beyond the spectrum of perceived reality. It allows Saiyuu to store up, and later use, anything that is directly affecting or affected by her. As far as she has tried and tested, virtually anything can be stored up. Speed, strength, health, endurance, awareness, mental fortitude, and many other such aspects. It even works on conceptual forces, such as time, luck, determination and so on. Once a quality is stored, a timer begins, accumulating a selected amount of that quality for the duration of the user's choice. Once stored, the user can choose to "spend" it in either the same amount of time, or in a different timeframe, for either decreased or increased effect. For instance, the user could choose to spend ten minutes being sickly, in exchange of being able to later use ten minutes of doubled health, or one minute of ten times the health, or even a hundred minutes of slightly improved health. The timeframe can be squeezed or stretched by the user's choice. As far as Saiyuu has been able to ascertain, there isn't a limit to how much she can store, but she can only spend qualities that she has previously stored in first place. As such, the powers does not allow one to take "loans" on qualities. Due to the ability of storing up essentially any qualities, Hogging can be an immensely powerful skill, but it has to be used carefully. With its potential yet not fully explored, one can only wonder how far the storing ability goes. Its activation is immensely difficult to notice, as it has no apparent visual effects and many of its changes do not occur in a strictly physical, magical or perceptive sense. Multiple qualities can be stored and spent at the same time, though the act of doing so must be a conscious one. In very recent times she discovered this power is an off-shot from what Demons can do by striking deals with mortals. The difference is that she's subconsciously striking 'deals' with her own self.
Demon Physiology - In recent times, Saiyuu's physiology has changed from that of a Human into that of a Demon. She suddenly finds that the presence of holy objects and auras can make her a little uncomfortable, while also having a greater propensity towards acting impulsively. In particular, she received a great many traits common to Succubi, such as a growth to her natural charm, an ability to persuade, suggest and compel those with weaker minds into listening to her, as well as a number of unique mystical abilities related to them. Lastly, it seems to have awakened a very strong, latent talent towards magical pursuits and infernal powers, however she hasn't much trained any of these things and is still very much an amateur in such regards.
Physical Conditioning - Despite what her apparent proportions might imply, Saiyuu has an excellent level of physical conditioning. A side effect of using "Quality Banker" to store up physical qualities and make herself purposefully weaker, this has caused her to need to practice more often and harder than most, therefore building up a considerable amount of conditioning for her body. Combined with her altered Demon biology, it has now heightened to superhuman levels.
Demonic Resistances - Following her transformation, Saiyuu appears to have become almost obscenely resilient to most forms of damage and what little tends to linger ends up healing much too fast. Blades, blunted weapons and even small-arms gunfire tends to do little more than bounce or scratch past a skin that should by all intents and purposes her much more fragile given how soft and delicate she looks. Similarly, she appears to have gained an incredibly massive innate resistance to magic, a considerable resistance to fire (regular fire, unaltered by magic or metahuman powers), and an outright immunity to electricity (same as before, regular electricity, unaltered by magic or meta-abilities).
Demonic Speed and Reflexes - Saiyuu can't be considered a speedster by any means, but can still move a considerable deal faster than the average human. The more outstanding part however would be her reflexes. She has an uncanny ability for avoiding being struck when attacked, although she seems to relax a little bit too much when not in a fight, which can explain how she may still be prone to occasionally bumping into someone, hitting her face on a branch while flying too low or almost eating a bird mid-flight. However when truly focused in avoiding attacks from a potential enemy, very few strikes will truly land on her unless she wishes it to happen.
Immense Magical Talent - A recent manifestation that came along with her recent transformation. This seems to have awakened a very strong, latent talent towards magical pursuits and infernal powers, however she hasn't much trained any of these things and is still something of a novice in such regards, namely when it comes to consciously making use of her powers. When fully focusing on doing it instinctively, under pressure and out of sheer reflex, she reveals a much more competent side, throwing rapid-fire spells with great precision before even realizing she did. One can tell that with enough time and training she may become a very impressive sorceress.
Succubus Abilities - Well, Saiyuu -is- a Succubus now, one shouldn't be surprised that she carries so many traits of them. The most glaring one seems a certain aura that now surrounds her. Unseen to the eye but sensed by those with magical inclinations, it seems to subtly influence people into feeling more positively towards her, empowering feelings of affection, desire and lust, ranging from gentle nudges to outright overloading them depending on how strongly they feel and how long they become exposed to that aura. It makes it a deal easier for her to convince affected targets into accepting what she's saying, and can very easily be used to convince an enemy into non-hostility. Similarly, touching her directly, on exposed skin, tends to start inducing feelings of lust upon the one doing it, similarly ranging from a minor reaction to an outright outburst. Being kissed by her tends to impose both the effects of her aura as well as touch in a more immediate manner, and to a considerable powerful extent. Her own "mana" is a form of storage for absorbed lust. The more she absorbs, the stronger she gets, the more she can spend her own magic, while the opposite is also true - the more magic and her abilities she employs, the more empty these reserves become, making her "hungry" for lust. This same lust is the source of her nourishment, being her equivalent to food, water, and even air, and going for too long on empty reserves will greatly weaken her and can even starve her out of it.
Technical Skills - While one might think that her inclinations towards the mystical arts would make it otherwise, Saiyuu often proves to be very much skilled with technology, computers and so on. She's a particularly avid programmer and while she loathes to call herself so, a 'hacker' (mostly counter-hacking and security work, hoping to work on corporate security once she concludes her studies). She seems to have an almost unnatural knack when it comes to programming, and while she doesn't tend to publicly show it much or talk of it, very few computer-related things can ever prove a true challenge to her.
