History
Caitlin Dupree was visiting her scientist father at Project Greenskin when Irradiates attacked the base. The building went into lock-down and Caitlin was trapped on the helipad when some of the mutates detonated a very small but very "dirty" atomic device! The blast reduced the crew of the helicopter she was boarding to glowing radioactive skeletons and scattered their remains throughout the desert. Instead of being blasted to atoms Caitlin was transformed into a creature of inarticulate rage!
Dubbed "Savage" for her mindless but effective fighting style, Caitlin wrecked a path of destruction from the desert to Millennium City. Project Greenskin scientists speculate she was just trying to return home. Savage arrived in Millennium City to find it under attack by the Qularr. She fought the alien invaders just as she had fought the army. If she destroyed any buildings at that time it cannot be proven. In the end she smashed her way into Champion's HQ and took down Black Talon. She claims she did this to shut up the beacons . . . and Defender, both of which were making too much noise. Unlike the rest of the heroes that day Savage then had to be subdued by Defender. She was sent back to the desert in the same transport as Black Talon.
<b>Caitlin's father was desperate to find a cure for his daughter but couldn't bring himself to experiment on her. He had her confined to Stronghold Prison while he studied Grondlings. Savage's case was discovered by a crusading lawyer looking at civil rights violations in the prison. She was remanded into the custody of the Free Haven Academy in hopes that she may learn some control there...
