Nix/Nixie
Water fae. The male half of the species, whose true form is that of a dragon-like creature, is more likely to use his enchanting song to lure in others to his lake or river of residence for a time of stories and drink. The female Nixie on the other hand, whose true form resembles a mermaid, rarely calls out her song except in retribution for crimes against her lake or river. The most famous of these fae is probably Lorelei, a Nixie of the River Rhine.
