− | There is a legend to Lord Armageddon, that he was not always a Demon Lord. In fact, many claim he was once a man, and not just any man, but a Paladin of the Light. Ages ago when the Paladins were first founded he fell in love with a beautiful woman named Sara. Their love grew strong, even in times of when it was tested to its peak, times like these being when Lord Armageddon, then called Lumenor, would be called upon to do his duty for the First Order of Paladins. He was quite proficient with Holy Magic and the Hammers attached to his bracers, which he used to fight with. He also carried a silver sword, with a golden hilt to his left side, said to be an ancient weapon used by the Templars and infused with holy power. Now, Lumenor was not a Master Paladin within the Order by any means, but he was no less skilled, and had earned many allies... and enemies, one such Enemy being the High Demon Lord of The Void, Morgrond The Merciless. Now some may ask: What is The Void? The Void is the deepest, darkest, and hottest Level of Hell, which is said to be the location of the Abyss, which will someday be Satan's prison for a thousand years. As a prison meant to hold what is supposedly the greatest evil of all, it would obviously be quite impossible to escape should you be cast into it. Why do I spend so much time explaining The Abyss and The Void? I am glad you asked. One day, when Lumenor was returning from a battle between the Paladins and the Vampires, he came home to see that his home in the secluded forest had been burned to the ground, as had many of the trees around it. This was not just any flame, but a purple one, the purple flame of The Void. All that remained of his home, as if left there in the rubble on purpose was his very door, on which was burned a message in flame that read: "Come to the Void, alone, and I will not kill her." upon reading this, he looked up and suddenly noticed that a portal had opened, as if it had been meant to open the moment he had finished reading the note. He rushed into it, desperate to save his beloved wife, Sara. When he finally reached the Stronghold of Morgrond, he saw it would not be at all easy. Morgrond had a knife held right to Sara's throat, and was carefully watching him. Lumenor knew that if one were to die in Hell, their soul would be forever bound there, regardless of their deeds in life, he could not risk attacking and getting her killed and so he simply asked, "What do you want?", to which Morgrond replied, "Your soul... an eternity of servitude to me as my personal enforcer, the very first of the Black Paladins." At this, Lumenor glared at him, asking with even more anger, "What makes you think I would ever agree to something like that?" to which Morgrond replied, "If you do not, I will kill her... and her soul will be bound to an eternity in this, the Void. Can you live knowing you condemned her to such a fate?" Lumenor was defeated... Morgrond had successfully found his only weakness and used it against him. Lumenor nodded, and a blood pact was made between the two in which, not only did Lumenor swear an oath to Morgrond after cutting his palm, but afterwards, Morgrond cut his own palm and held it down over Lumenor's palm which was held up, allowing his dark-blood to pour into Lumenor's veins, corrupting his mind, his essence, and his body. His power became greater than ever before, but there was no more room for love. After this, Lumenor knelt down to his master asking him what his first task would be. Morgrond told him that from now on he would be called Armageddon, and that his first task would be to kill Sara, for though he promised he would not kill her, he did not promise he would not have Lumenor do it. Armageddon turned to his wife, seemingly hesitating for a brief moment before walking over to her and using blood magic to summon a great demonic blade of his own blood which he raised high over his head, prepared to bring it crashing down. Before he could do so, however, she looked up at him with a single tear in her eye, her heart broken by what he had become, yet still she said, "Lumenor, my Love, I forgive you." even as she was saying it, he had begun to bring down his sword, cleaving her neck and beheading her, no sign of remorse in the expression on his face, the only hint that there may have been good left in him at that time was the single tear that fell from his own eye as well. After this, he turned, walking over to Morgrond who assumed he was going to ask what his next order was, instead, it his intentions were far more treacherous. He grabbed Morgrond by the tail, swinging him around until he finally let go, and Morgrond ended up being flung off a nearby Balcony which hovered directly over the Abyss. As he fell into the emptiness, chains of darkness grabbed him and dragged him down even faster into the flaming, dark, bottomless Abyss. Because of this, Morgrond, being an Immortal Demon Lord did not die, and Lord Armageddon was able to feed off his former master's power and might over centuries through a powerful bond that had been created between the two of them through the ritual. Eventually, Lord Armageddon had enough power to begin his conquest of the other realms of Hell, performing the Dark-Blood Pact ritual with each of the most powerful Demon Lords who ruled over each level of Hell until he would be strong enough to overthrow even the Devil himself and claim The Dark Throne as his own. First, however... he needed to corrupt the mortals on Earth. He needed to form... an order of Black Paladins. | + | There is a legend to Lord Armageddon, that he was not always a Demon Lord.
