When I first got The Cursed, I was initally thinking of creating a demon, seeing as I seem to have a thing for creating monsters and supernatural beings, but resorted to creating the first concept of the Witch of the Afterlife, who was originally a being born in the realm where the dead reside. As I kept playing, I began to work more on her background, which changed her to a wraith and later to the guardian deity she is today, with a solid background. Over the course of her development, she never lost her relation to death once and I feel like she is much more of a character now than she was in the beginning.

I enjoy playing her a lot, even tough I only created her in CO so far, but if I am to take one of my characters along to another game someday, she will be one of them.

Personality

A calm and usually quiet person, Elanyeh can be hard to get trough to. She has a tendency of keeping her opinions to herself, but will speak out on the rare occasion she deems what she has observed to be important. She holds most people constantly away from her at arm's length, which is probably a result of her being what she is. She also is rarely, if never witnessed to voice her personal beliefs at all, aside from when Necromancers are mentioned. Most of the time, she just tries not to stick out of the crowd more than need be.

Appearance

She appears as a 6'1" tall young looking woman with unnaturally pale skin reminiscent of a ghost, with two horns on her forehead and a long, spaded tail moving about. When not in her armor, she is always seen with a plate over her right eye and also always wears earrings. She wears a little bit of red makeup to accenturate her facial features somewhat against her white skin, tough her eyes are the most catchy feature. The eyeball is of a solid, pitch black while her iris is seemingly nothing but a fiery golden circle that stares about cold, even if she smiles. She is often seen wearing clothes with a pattern of dark black and red, usually combinations of leather and cloth with a preference of jackets, corsets, skirts and boots. No matter if she wears armor or not, her right hand is always seen featuring a strange gauntlet which sports a beating heart framed by bones and a skull. On each of her upper arms is a golden armband in the shape of a cobra; it seems to be more than just jewelry.

Armor

When seen clad in armor, she seems to have undergone drastic changes in appearance. Altough most of her armor, aside from the shoulder blades and ornaments around her legs, is still made of leather, some parts of it glow in a golden tone similar to her eyes which she hides under a hood. The base color is still black. Underneath the armor she is seen wearing some sort of protective onepiece suit and above that, pieces of armor reminiscent of east asian culture decorated with ornaments and a gem. In this state, she is also seen wearing what appears to be clawed gloves and spiked boots while her feet are constantly wrapped in a darker version of her ghostly flames. Her horns seemingly disappear as soon as she appears in armor. Her face remains hidden under a sturdy eyeplate and ornamented mask, with only two fiery golden dots shimmering trough the eyeplate's holes where the goddess' eyes are. Elanyeh herself has stated that this appearance of hers is as much armor as it is her combat form, so it can be assumed the armor is a part of her in some sense.

Tattoos

Hidden for anyone to see underneath her clothing, Elanyeh features a variety of tattoos. Her entire torso is covered in what appears to be ritualistic tribal tattoos weaving a complicated, war-oriented pattern and flow together on her back in the form of a tribal skull. This torso tattoo also covers a great part of her arms. Her right leg features a tattoo in a similar style, where the tribals form a dragon. This is also true for her left leg, altough the resulting shape there is a copy of the gauntlet she is wearing on her right hand.

Powers

Her powers seem to be strictly tailored to her role as guardian deity, but she has managed to expand her arsenal a little by varying the way she uses them as well as trough gaining two specific trinkets, one of which is the strange gauntlet she is wearing.

When in her combat-ready armored form, the first thing to notice is the goddess being wrapped in ghostly flames that appear to be cold and otherworldy on first sight and burn hotter than hellfire on touch. But instead of simply burning what stands in her path, the guardian deity's Ghostly Fire instead is mainly used to burn and eradicate spiritual beings, as well as the souls of mortal creatures. As her powers grew, she managed to figure out how to harm solid matter which resulted in her flames being capable of burning either the spiritual or material part of a being, or both at once, which means erasing their existence. Additionally, she commands magical chains wrapped in her flames that, upon touching, sap the strength of those wrapped in them. The more of the chain touches her target, the more stength is drained from them, which can result in a slow death trough exhaustion.

Her glove features a few abilities of it's own, some she knows of, some are left to be figured out over time. 1: It can give off a screech that is capable of levelling up anything in front of the goddess, like a powerful force wave. 2: It can create a powerful shield. 3. Also, it can summon Kimberly (Nightinwail) to the goddess' position

She can also be seen making use of her ability to turn into crawling or flying scarabs who are probably the most visible statement of her relation to the dead.

Hobbies

She only has a few hobbies, which are limited to listening to music (mostly Symhphonic, Melodic and Power Metal), cooking and, as of new, playing the violin (or rather, learning to do so)

Friends

Kimberly Ambersax A banshee she met during her early membership in the TAA and who, over several events, became the one she holds dearest, being married to her in banshee terms of marriage. Her feelings for the ghost go deeper than for anyone else and if necessary, Elanyeh would annihilate anyone and anything daring to think of harming -her- banshee.

Veronica Brimstone Her favorite tattooist and friend, she has come to consider her a part of her family, mostly due to Vivi's relation with Kim. Altough they don't meet much, Elanyeh enjoys her company a lot whenever they do meet.

Natasha Roy The elf being head of the TAA, Elanyeh sees her mainly from a professional point and doesn't speak much, but still is ready to go out of her way and assist however she can.

Heillder Despite the two being of opposite origin, Elanyeh has taken a liking to hang out with the demon to talk and joke around, which mostly results in girl talk with the demon.

Enemies

Sevenstar Verdammnishorn- A powerful necromancer and her seemingly eternal antagonist. He and Elanyeh have faced each other countless times and every time upon defeat, Sevenstar somehow managed to return to the world of the living. He despises the goddess, as she won't let him do as he pleases with the dead. That aside, he is an incredibly charming man once one is past is intimidating appearance and loves nothing more than a game of chess and a glass of whiskey when he is not plotting against his divine foe or reanimating the dead for his sinister purposes. Rumor has it he likes Shakespeare and will quote famous lines if he finds them appropriate.
