Location In The Multiverse
Nimoth is located in an Aether-Gap inbetween Heaven and Hell. A marble world that looks like a purple gleaming orb when traversing the Aether around it, conveniently nudged inbetween the two to put in some space, and serve as a security measure in one way or another. The dimension itself cannot be entered by ordinary means. It needs a Nimothian's help to travel to Nimoth, as only something from the realm can access it.
The realm itself is a living entity, as a hint in the name already tells. Nar'ja, an old goddess of the Sumerian pantheon, has erected it and is the world itself, so Nimoth has a whole array of means to defend itself against intruders and attacks from the Aether.
Topography
While most imagine the realm of the Unliving as a plane of barren wasteland and various shades of grey, Nimoth is everything but that. Being a Marble World, it located on the inside of the sphere that surrounds it, not on the outside. In the center, sun and moon orbit around each other, passing cycles of day and night.
Those hailing from the mortal realms are able to tell familiarities about the different areas and places, which are yet alienated and distant in their own kinds and ways. Rich woods that gleam in the azure color of the leaves, some in a deep scarlet tint, with trees that range from pitchblack color to a soft blue. Deserts with black and glittering sands, mountains that boast with gleaming cracks or whole parts of rocks that throw ardent reflexions, as well as rivers and lakes with soft red waters.
Overall, the world doesn't follow a specific rule in terms of flora and fauna. One can easily be in a jungle at first, and then suddenly find himself in a fridgid snowstorm just a few steps after. The areas are fitting for their inhabitants, as well as seasons that are individual for each section of the realm. What remains the same no matter where you are, however, is Nimoth's famous sky. A purple gleam that bursts through black clouds, bearing the view on a deviant, yet immaculate sunset.
Places of Interest
Nimoth holds many places, and each place it's secrets and people. They are governed and lead by the Kings of Nimoth, who stay representative for their races.
Hal Nimoth
The Capital City of Nimoth, located in the very center of the lands, is a vast and busy metropolis of important and moreso often unimportant business. Held in a medieval style, it is, out of all the cities, the one most normal to the common eye, being made of stone, wood and metal, and pretty much following especially earthen methods of architecture and western culture. Throughout the year, it poses very mild temperatures, especially springs, summers and autumns, but is infamous for it's harsh and remorseless winters. It is the home of the Living Armors, which are the leading faction of Nimoth.
Luid
The city of Luid, also known as the Gallowed Fortress, is a prison town, located on the side of Nimoth's biggest mountain. It is cradled by two enormous chains that are anchored within the mountainside, and also serve as entrances to the city. A gloomy, foggy town which could be straight out of a Sherlock Holmes Novel. A few streetlights light the various and many ways and avenues, accompanied by the squeaking noises of swinging signs, a light, cold draft and smell of wet air and pinetrees. Despite being a prison town, Luid features many gardens and has a rather creepy attitude with the whole city being overwatched by a gigantic clock tower. It is the home of the Orahil, the Jailers of Nimoth.
The Brass Necropolis
The Brass Necropolis is easy to see from almost everywhere in Nimoth. A huge monolith of brass and golden colors that erects high to the skies, with a brassen bell in it's center that rings at the dawn of every new day. A maze of hallways, floors and rooms that spread throughout it's insides, holding books, scrolls and other text of ancient and forbidden knowledge. It is a place where the secrets of Nimoth are kept, and the history of every single day is preserved like it was a treasure. For most Nimothians, it is also the place to aquire magical knowledge. It is governed by the Hekari, the representatives of the Rat Totem.
Seven Rivers
The port town of Seven Rivers is located on the northernmost frontier where the Scarlet Sea begins. A town famous for trade and hospitality, as well as it's beautiful beaches and mentality. It is build up a small hill that descends to the beach, with houses of a baroque and victorian fashion. The name originates from the hill it is built on, the place where the seven biggest rivers of Nimoth meet to join the ocean. The wary eye will notice that the town has many streets that lead out of it, as it is the meeting point of many major trading routes of the realm. It is also the home of the Golems, whom are alchemists and merchants.
The Onyx Sands
The Onyx Sands are a vast and remote desert, filled with black sand that gives light reflexions of the sunlight from above. In it's heart lies Aetherlight, a town of emotions and senses. A city of deviant pleasures, erected in crystaline shapes in harmony with fine cloth, it is very appealing to the eye, no matter whom looks at it, and almost seduces with the charm of arabian nights. The air is filled with sweet and bewitching smells, and everything seems to be in harmony at every time of the day, far beyond any worries, troubles and maladies. It is the home of the Fallen Djinns, the ones one with emotion.
