Galorna was born to a clan of human barbarians in the Houndstooth forest, daughter of the High Chieftain and a mysterious druid that stole his heart. She was born blessed with powerful gifts by the spirits of the forest, gifts that left her bestial in form and isolated her from much of her clan. Despite their reverence for her blessings and status, few felt comfortable around her socially given her monstrous appearance.

When the vile necromancer Kul-Turak began his campaign against the world, Galorna's homeland was one of the first areas to be ravaged. As the surrounding countryside burned, the people of Houndstooth remained hidden deep in their dark forest and prepared. Galorna protested, demanding they join the fight and help. When the chieftain would not hear her, she gathered a party and ventured forth beyond the boundaries of her woodland home. The results were disastrous, and a warband followed the survivors home to the forest. The chieftain, Galorna's father, lost his life in the ensuing battle.

Galorna's mother, the mysterious druid, devised a plan to stop Kul-Turak in his tracks. With the aid of her entire circle, and their sacrifice, a crystal was created that they believed could seal the warlord away forever. In the chaos of the battle to deploy it, however, Galorna was sealed instead.

Queen Galorna is still relatively new on the hero scene, though she's been making a small name for herself in Westside as a protector of the downtrodden.

• Anyone who attends or visits Millennium City University might recognize her from around the campus, where she currently lives and works.
• She is a frequent patron of Carl's Gym, though rarely speaks to anyone there.
• When she first emerged from the crystal, about a year before she began acting as a superhero, she briefly assaulted several members of University faculty and caused some structural damage. You may have seen some of the headlines at the time warning of a "prehistoric beast-woman rampaging through university campus." She still feels awful about it.
