Her father worked at MedTech Industries, a company dedicated to medical science advances that specialized in automated systems and robotics. Her mother had been staying there for a few years but was from Constanta, Romania. Doctors discovered that the newborn child was born legally blind and despite best efforts there was no reversal. After a year of staying in Paris, the family returned to the mother's home city of Constanta. There they began to care for their daughter and raised her best they could. Around the time she was getting capable of independent movement by walking, she was exhibiting the ability to register where an individual near her was exactly. This, of course, caused suspicions to be raised though no conclusion was made. It was not until until her fifth year in school that things became obvious that she was not completely blind.<br>
