===Corinth Recap===

Mavus attempts to learn an entire semester's worth of Solid Mechanics on his own, ever since his college was destroyed by The Automatons, an alien robotic race that were capable of somehow inhibiting his powers.  Taking refuge in an old abandoned hut, Mavus pirates a few textbooks, and pulls a few out of his closet, but succumbs from boredom.  After struggling with a few problems, Mavus throws the textbook out the window and wishes it blew up.  Mavus subconsciously creates a massive mounted [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Railgun railgun], which accidentally obliterates the entire neighbourhood.  Mavus manages to make it out alive by subconsciously building several force field generators that protect him from the blast.  Mavus realizes that his powers have returned, meaning the Automatons have been destroyed by someone, or something.

Mavus looks at the stack of textbooks that he was initially planning to review over the summer, and throws them out the window.  Picking up his laptop, Mavus wills the laptop to change shape, and the device elongates, breaking apart and reassembling into a mechanical skeleton, complete with tech of its own.  Mavus uploads his consciousness into the mech, and begins to set up a protective chamber to contain his subconscious body.  Mavus then begins to build his base, complete with reinforced walls, weaponry, and a camera system, which is linked to the mech.  Mavus gives his mech the name "Main", and begins to extract raw materials from his surroundings, repurposing them into powerful titanic alloys.  The alloys become elongated and begin to transform, and Mavus forms an entire platoon of robotic troops, complete with their own energy blasters, miniguns, and micro munitions.

Mavus sends a few reconnaissance units to fly to the site of the Automaton core to investigate, and manages to locate his old college buddy Junon, who is accompanied by the [http://primusdatabase.com/index.php?title=Samuel_Mason boy] who was responsible for the destruction of the Automatons.

The units continue to watch over the group until they mysteriously disappear into a fog.  Surprised, Mavus uploads himself into one of the recon drones and upgrades its ocular sensors, to no avail.  Mavus sets up a hidden base with location markers to mark the fog as a hotspot for investigation, and repurposes his recon drones to figure out how to get past the barrier.

Over the course of the next few weeks, one of Mavus' drones figures out how to breach the barrier.  However, the barrier shuts close, isolating the drone from the rest of the pack.  Mavus decides to upload himself into the drone that got through and dismantles the base.

Mavus notices Junon running out of a weird fortress, in tears.  Unable to comprehend this, Mavus decides to follow Junon at a distance, realizing that she is under attack by a bunch of soul beasts.  Mavus quickly reconstructs his mechanical body into Main, and tries to distract the monsters until one of his sensors picks up another mechanical lifeform, revealed to be Adam Blair, one of his project classmates.  The poor guy turned into a cyborg.  Mavus decides to hide behind a rock, and witnesses the team battle the soul beasts outside of a cave that Junon had run inside.  Mavus deploys a recon drone to the cave and realizes that Adam and a few others went in to defeat the inhabitant inside, who reveals himself to be Plyth, the Serpent King.  Mavus witnesses the boy, who's name was revealed to be Samuel Mason, on the verge of defeat at the hands of the Serpent, and another man, named Jason defeat it.  However, the Serpent manages to escape and kills Adam and another girl he doesn't recognize.  Mavus watches the group mourn for their deaths and leave the cave.  Mavus manifests his real body and approaches Adam's remains.

===Making Connections===

Mavus realizes that Adam's vitals are still operational, but his body has sustained immense damage.  Mavus kneels down, and asks Adam if he can hear him.  Extending his hand, Mavus restores Adam's body, however discovers that his memories have fragmented.  Mavus decides to restore his old memories.  Adam's body reassembles causing him to jolt upright and grab him by the shoulders thinking he is Junon.  Mavus yelps and backs away, assembling several mech's pointing their weapons at Adam's head.  Adam stares at Mavus and asks him how he got here, and what he did to him.  Mavus tells Adam that he restored his body with his technomancy, that had reappeared following the destruction of the Automaton core.  Adam looks at Mavus and asks where Junon and the others are.  Mavus tells him that they left a long time ago, causing Adam to stare at the ground, telling him that he should have just left him to die.  Mavus tells Adam that he wants to see Junon, but Adam tells him that it's probably not a good idea, and feels that he does not deserve to talk to her again.

Mavus and Adam exchange notes.  Mavus asks Adam what happened to him, as he was restoring his body, he noticed that his memories were all scattered, and some appearing to be memories from a different person.  Adam tells Mavus that the Automatons likely uploaded the memories of John Crypt into his mind, although he doesn't know how that's possible.  For the longest time, he believed himself to be John Crypt, and when he was rescued by Junon, they started a relationship.  Mavus sits down and doesn't know what to do, so he decides to turn the cave into a tiny base to stay.

Adam watches silently as Mavus concentrates, dust being extracted from the rocks of the cave and accumulating into clumps of metal, elongating and changing shape into various parts that assemble together.  Within the span of fifteen minutes, the cave has become a full on technological base.  Adam tells Mavus that he feels obligated to help Junon and her friends, and decides to aid in Darkstar to defeating the New Militia.
