A Normally Driven Child
Dorian grew up in a terribly normal home. His family were originally working-class Swedish when they arrived in America several generations ago. He grew up in a large family. There was always a curiosity and a certain bullheadedness that he may or may not have gotten from his mother's side. Dorian threw himself into everything. He was no genius, but what he may have lacked in intelligence he more than made up for it in dedication to overcoming that lack.
One such activity that drew his attention was martial arts. He also found that he had a natural affinity for it and took every moment that he could to train. This caused many problems for his older siblings. He had a natural quickness and agility that training had only sharpened. Their father had to break up several fights as the new pecking order was established among the brothers.
