A Mad Scientist is a person who pursues scientific and/or engineering endeavors, producing inventions that should not work according to the accepted laws of whatever field of study they are based on, but which work perfectly (if not better) for their inventory, even if they do not work for anyone else.
Mad Science is usually the result of some hidden psionic or magical talent in the Mad Scientist.
Other terms used for Mad Scientists include: Mad, Madboy/Madgirl, and Spark.
