The Valravn, the sleek gray and black jet which was the personal transportation of the Protectors of the World, was flying high over the Atlantic Ocean and skirting the clouds. It was being piloted by Alex Harper, Sparrowhawk, who was returning with another Protector, the computer specialist and chronokinetic heroine Tesseract. An arms deal had been going on between a villain known as Captain Conquest and a supplier known as Lady Midnight overseas. A deal which was now over thanks to the interference of the Protectors by way of a large scale fight which ended roughly ninety minutes ago. All in a days work, really. As Tesseract was relaxing in the back, Sparrowhawk's mind was already racing about all the things she had to tend to upon their return to Millennium City.

Sparrowhawk's A.I. and assistant of sorts that was wired into her suit, known as 'Mother', alerted her to an emergency message. Sparrowhawk's A.I. and assistant of sorts that was wired into her suit, known as 'Mother', alerted her to an emergency message. Sparrowhawk's finger glided over a nearby button, summoning a small holographic display. Razira's words weren't the thing that registered with her. It was the accompanying footage of Cosmic Glory's attack and the revelation that her secret... her identity... had been leaked. The heroine's brow furrowed under her mask and goggles.

"Thank you, Millennium City Police Department and oh-so-desperate-for-ratings news outlets," Sparrowhawk murmured sarcastically under her breath at this reveal of idiotic proportions.

Cosmic Glory was technically an adult. In many ways, though, she was a young woman with her entire life ahead of her. Everyone who wore the mask knew that every time they went out on the field that there was danger involved. This was simply a part of the underside of fighting crime. Faye was different, however. In a lot of ways she reminded her fondly of Dobergirl, one of Sparrowhawk's former friends and team mates. Her positivity and penchant for seeing the best in things was infectious... yet it made the negatives that life dealt sometimes that much worse. In a short time, Faye left an impression on the entire team. Aside from Razira, she was probably the closest confidante Sparrowhawk had on the Protectors. There was something that simply made you trust and care for her.

"Mother," Sparrowhawk instructed the AI, "Send a return message to Razira. Get Cosmic Glory out of Mercy Hospital ASAP. If you have to pull clearance, do it. I'm going to prepare the Barlowe's medical center for her arrival. The last thing Glory needs is to deal with more problems. It might be in downtown Millennium City, but the headquarters is one of the safest places on the planet for her, especially right now. Make sure you notify Chivalry as well as the other Protectors."

She almost said 'send message' as another thing stuck into her mind. "While you are at it, locate, retrieve and make accommodations for Brad Jones. He needs to go to the Barlowe as well. In the days ahead I'm afraid there may be some safety issues for anyone closely associated with Glory. Make sure he has some bags packed for both of them, and not just the overnight variety. Send message."

It wouldn't be long before Sparrowhawk was on American soil. Her other plans would have to hold for a few as this needed to be resolved first. It wasn't the end of the world... but it did change the game for Cosmic Glory.
