Introduction and Explanation of Purpose of this page
Hallo! I am Gunmage Guardian@akhrua95, and the following is the explanation of the purpose of this page:
So, today, on 9/29/2014, someone in the CORP Community pointed out to me that according to CO Lore, there is nothing beyond the CO Multiverse, and the Omniverse page I found HERE was lore-breaking and not Canon. However, Gunmage Guardian's Biography(Found HERE ) pretty much depends on it working, so I decided i'd create a page to make it fit the Lore properly, the contents of which you will find below, told IC by Aki herself, with a little help from Gwen. So, without further ado, here it is! :D
Aki's Explanation of the Omniverse
Aki: "Hallo, Konichiwa, and greetings in any and all other necessary languages! I'm Aki Naomi Nishimura, A.K.A. Gunmage Guardian, and I'm here to explain the omniverse to those in this multiverse who believe that there is nothing beyond it(Though, technically this would be an explanation out of continuity, so as not to directly interfere with established lore. in actuality, this is going out to you, the Champions Online players!). Here to help me is my girlfriend, Gwen, who will be explaining a couple things such as her home universe and some natural inter-universe-entry devices, right Gwen?"
Gwen: "Yup! Though I must admit, I'm not really sure how exactly we're out of continuity right now, that bit always confused me." *Gwen chuckles as she says this*
Aki: "Hehe, That part doesn't really need to be explained, the readers don't usually care. Now, onto the explanation!
Most people in the know in the CO Multiverse believe it goes like what you find HERE, and that's all there is,when in actuality, it does work a bit more like the Omniverse page linked in Akhrua's intro.
Now, before you CO Lore Buffs throw a fit at that statement, remember the PURPOSE of this article, and let me explain. You're probably wondering "if this is true, why hasn't anyone discovered it?" Well, here's one possible answer, which is as follows:
It HAS been discovered, but it's been covered up by beings VERY high up in the chain of celestial workers.
Why? Someone up there thinks the CO Multiverse isn't ready for the knowledge, and it wouldn't be the first time this has happened, in MANY situations and contexts. look at every proven case of a government or ruling system covering something up, ancient magical secret, extra-terrestrials(in multiverses where that one has ACTUALLY been proven), a ridiculous amount of the time, when the secret gets out, it can(and usually does) cause anything from mass chaos, to using that knowledge for military purposes and starting wars, to ARMAGEDDON.
And in a multiverse like the CO Multiverse, it's most likely ALL THREE would happen! I Mean, look at the amount of beings who's dream is to either cause Armageddon, conquer the multiverse, or commit planetary genocide! Can you blame whatever being is in charge of the cover-up?
Anyways, that's THAT part out of the way, now for a couple side-projects from Gwen. Gwen?"
Gwen's Description of her home universe and some natural inter-universe-entry devices
Gwen's Description of her home universe
Basic Info
Gwen: "Thanks Aki, and I must admit, I can see where you're coming from, especially after 'The War'," Gwen shudders. "Which i'll explain in a bit. Anyways, first off is the description and explanation of my home universe, which is as follows:
Funny thing; Multiverse is only used to refer to the worlds on the sephiroth in the CO Universe, in all other universes me, Aki, and Akhrua have encountered it refers to the main universe and it's dimensions and their alternate counterparts, and in some places refers to the Omniverse itself!
But to get more on topic, My home universe is officially called TH-192, which is the classification for a Time Heart Universe, and it's number.
A Time Heart is a dimension or sometimes a universe which serves as the source of creation for the universe that dimension exists in, or in the case of a Time Heart Universe, the source of creation for certain other universes. Sometimes a Time Heart Universe isn't really the source of creation so much as a universe where creations from multiple universes exist, what comic writers would call "A Crossover Universe", or whatever it really is.
There is one big difference between a Time Heart Dimension and a Time Heart Universe, which is that a Time Heart Dimension is usually only accessible to the truly dead, while a Time Heart Universe is an actual universe just like any Non-Time Heart Universe, it just has the qualities of a Time Heart Universe.
Specific Info and Species Info
My Personal Universe, TH-192, is not a Creation Source Time Heart Universe, but a Crossover Universe, which contains several species and their worlds from a few unknown universes, though some of them are actually alternates of cultures you may know of. They are as follows:
- The Azuryuns: The most ancient and powerful species of TH-192, they rule all of Time and Space in TH-192 from their home planet of Azurya, and created the idea, system, and rules of time travel.
They are in charge of the Universal Alliance Government, which rules every one of the three known planets in the known universe(Yeah, there's not much there, but it's a nice universe!). Their home planet is a Jupiter sized planet, with an earth like environment, with a few differences, such as:
1. instead of plants being green there, plants are usually some form of blue, silver, or a mix thereof.
2. The Azuryuns technologies could make them look like Gods to almost any other species, and the fact they haven't reached the point of going beyond need for a physical form is because of choice, not limits. They choose to stay physical and try to keep TH-192 in peace and harmony.
Azuryun Society is very much based on principles such as Honor, Justice, Peace, and keeping TH-192 within these principles for the good of all, and they usually see themselves as needing to set examples for the others, and as such stick to these principles as much as possible, at the cost of their lives if need be.
- Humanity: Humanity, you exist in almost every universe in some form or another, and are probably the most determined species to ever exist in all of existence.
In TH-192, you exist on earth, in the sol system, the next star system over from The Azuryuns, in the Azurianis System. Specifically, Earth 223, yeah, you don't wanna know what happened to the other 222 earths.
Oh!" Gwen does a facepalm. "Sorry, I forgot to mention, in TH-192, at the time I left with Aki, the date was around the year 34,268 A.D..
Anyways, Earth 223 is an Artificial planet of about Jupiter's size created by the Azuryuns as a gift after 'The War', started by the next planet in my list, which i'll get to in a bit. Earth 223 is of the same makeup as the original Earth, except that the Azuryuns created it with a ridiculous amount of a mix of Temporal and Magical Energies, turning it into a very unique place. The continents are actually four medium landmasses on the outer edges of the planet, each with their own climate, with one large landmass at the northern pole, all of which are described below:
1. The Southwestern Continent: The southwestern Continent is used for farming and other agricultural uses(and has a climate with it's own season system the same as the original earth's), with a few areas designed specifically for religious purposes, with temples, churches, and monasteries to every religion in the universe, all living in harmony.
The farming communities have the best farming technology humanity has(as they have to provide food for the whole planet), and the plants and animals(as well as other natural resources) are literally limitless, due to the magical and temporal energies mixed in to the planet in it's creation.
In the religious areas, available technology depends on the religion center, though most of them keep it to nothing but the bare essentials and emergency supplies.
The various religion centers are policed by a force made up of a mix of Azuryuns and Humans, so as to prevent inter-religion problems, though at this point in history, Humanity has learned to respect differences, and Bigotry is pretty much extinct, save for a few isolated pockets, who usually stick to themselves anyways. The Harmony Keepers, as the above-mentioned police force is called, is mainly a precaution, and is probably one of the easiest jobs on earth.
In the other continents there are other police forces, though they are all pretty much the same, except for the Braincase and Digital Crimes Force in the Northeastern Continent, which is always outfitted with the most advanced and up-to-date gear due to cybercrimes and mind-hacking apparently being a lifestyle that probably will (and has) persist(ed) forever. Surprisingly, crimes with other technologies such as Cyborgism and Automail seem to be non-existent, and the main source of crime on Earth 223 is that involving Braincases and other aspects of the Digiverse.
2. The Northeastern Continent: The northeastern continent is in eternal winter, and is dedicated to the study of medical and biological science. Among their discoveries are the successful creation of old Sci-Fi and/or Anime ideas such as Automail, Full-Body Cyborgism, Braincases, and even Artificial Biological Life, though in the Era I left with Aki, the moral dilemmas of that last one were still being discussed, and had been for about the last 10,000 Years or so. Yeah, it was that big a problem.
3.The Southeastern Continent: The southeastern continent is split into two halves, one, the western half is set as living space for anyone who desires to live there, while the eastern half is dedicated to non-biological tech study, with their best creations including things such as Mech Drones and Suits for workforce and fun purposes(all military creations were banned and destroyed after 'The War'), Space and Underwater vehicles for a variety of purposes, and Robots, Androids(Used to refer to both genders here), and AIs(Artificial Intelligences), which are under the same scrutiny as Artificial Biological Life, but have been for far longer. The western half of the continent is constantly in a paradisaical summer climate, while the eastern half is kept in a special winter climate ideal for the experiments which take place there. At the direct center of the continent is 'The Thermo Line', which can only be accessed with the right permissions via a special force-field, for safety reasons, including the effects that happen when a human goes from one climate to the other without preparation, which usually entails a disease similar to the bends, but which results in either a fever or a cold(depending on which direction you're going), both of which usually end in death.
4. The Northwestern Continent: The northwestern continent is entirely a nature preserve, and has grown itself naturally into the perfect environment for every terran animal and/or plant species there is. There are actually a few druid, neo-pagan, and wiccan groups who live here in villages, most of them people who have rejected technology in favor of spirituality.
5. The Northern Pole Continent: The northern pole continent is known as: 'The Kingdom of Earth 233', and contains the offices and homes for the people in charge of Earth 233, as well as the embassies for the emissaries of the other planets, and the Earth 233 base for Universal Alliance Government. It's climate is divided into four sections for each of the four terran seasons, with sections in it to accommodate the known non-terran species.
Humanity is, as they often are, the neutral species, helping who will keep TH-192 in the best condition without really caring for what the other two planets think.
- The Quantinus: If the Azuryuns are the good, and Humanity are the neutral, the Quantinus are definitely the bad. This species and their planet appeared out of nowhere around about 26,397 A.D., and very little is actually known about them. This is what we do know:
1. Both the Quantinus species and their planet are actually phase-shifted into TH-192 from somewhere else, where we don't know, and any and all attempts to find out have failed.
2. Their planet resembles a semi-phase-shifted ball of solid brimstone, and the species themselves have never been seen outside sets of specialized suits they wear, which come in a variety of forms for various different purposes, often with custom designs.
3. The Quantinus seem to have a superhero (or in this case, supervillain) effect that encompasses their entire population, though the powers seem to be limited to combat abilities, intelligence, dark and/or shadow magic, and the most widespread power(which no one has any clue why it's so, and has given the species their name), the abilities that would be normally given in quantum physics, though the Quantius seem to get this power no matter their size, shape, etc., a mystery which no one, not even the Azuryuns seem to be able to solve.
4. The Quantinus Homeworld (which as been named Quantinusia), orbits a dark star which has a unique trait which makes it exist in the same place in multiple universes(A fact discovered by a joint research between Aki and the Azuryuns), and as far as we are able to tell, was the tool used to phase-shift the Quantinus to TH-192. It was suggested that the dark star be destroyed at one point using an ancient experimental Azuryun implosion weapon, but the risk of the effects on the omniverse as a whole was deemed to great, so for now both Humanity and the Azuryuns have been trying to create peaceful relations following the Quantinus defeat in 'The War'.
5. The arrival of the Quantinus was completely unforeseeable, even by the Azuryuns, and the theory to support this is either the dark star used to bring them here, a theory that they came from somewhere where time ceases to exist(This particular theory was thought up by Aki), or a combination of both.
6. To even go near Quantinusia Airspace without being a Quantinusian, one must have a special phase-shifter device to make themselves compatible, otherwise they would go right through the planet as if it were an illusion.
7. On a few occasions exploring the Quantinus homeworld, Azuryun and Human agents found info-storing systems and libraries which have info on multiple universes throughout the omniverse, which inspired the idea from Aki that the Quantinusians were at some point what she calls Omniverse Scribes, basically beings who's job it was to record the omniverse, but at some point they screwed up and went the way of an ancient tribe she calls 'The Twili'. Aki refuses to give anymore info than that, no matter what."
Aki: "For a good reason. Multiple ones actually, the top two being preserving natural progression, and the fact that even being outside the system, there are some rules I can't break, and some topics I can't speak of. Alright Gwen, i'm done, please continue."
Gwen: "Alright then, continuing:
The Quintius Society is based upon the gaining of power and knowledge, and conquest, though why no one has any clue. Only recently have they started abandoning their conquest-loving ways in sake of peace, in return for help in their studies(According to the peace-treaty of 34,130 A.D.), the end goal of which still hasn't been revealed.
Those were the species of TH-192, next we move on to 'The War'.
The War
The War was the last and greatest war of TH-192, which happened as follows:
Shortly after the arrival of the Quantinus(about five years after, to be exact), The Quantinus suddenly started turning hostile, after years of peace and self-isolation, they started building military forces.
About three months later, Aki crash-landed on Azurya, in a small village near the planetary capital of Arzuradisa, and was brought before the leader of the Azuryuns and her council.
Aki told them that she had been hunting a nameless being obsessed with gaining power for some unclear purpose, and had tracked him to TH-192. She said that this being was most likely the cause of the sudden military activities of the Quantinus, and that his aim was most likely to sieze control of the Azuryuns, by any means possible. This was the tipping point that led to a long debate among the Azuryuns, the Humans, and Aki."
Gwen giggles for a second.
"That's actually how me and Aki met. I was a human emissary's intern around age 23, and I was assigned to help Aki with anything she needed. You don't need the exact details right now, but it ended up progressing into a serious relationship ridiculously fast."
Gwen sighs.
"But I digress, back to the matter at hand: Despite Aki's insistance that they hurry, the debates still took two and a half years, and during that time, the Quantinusians finished their military building, along with a device that Aki had warned the Azuryuns and Humans about, but which they had dismissed as impossible(this was before almost anything was known about the Quantusians, remember), a time machine.
The nameless being Aki had been hunting tried to use the device to go back in time and make himself the eternal leader of the Azuryuns, with all their power in his control. He did succeed, until an alternate future Aki came back to warn those in debate, and the Azuryuns teamed up with both Akis and the Humans to create a counter-measure, a Time-Lock on all of TH-192.
This, proved to be the bringer of hell. A Time-Lock never brings anything else. The Time-Lock created the Time War of TH-192, which lasted from 26,402 to 31,974 A.D. in real time, but might as well have lasted twenty eternities as far as TH-192 knew. Because of the time-lock, day and night ceased to be and were replaced by twilight, and every time someone died, they were revived, only to be killed in new and horrible ways(sound familiar? Time Wars can and have happened in many universes). Myself, I died about 8600 times, every single one being revenge for defeat of a general by Aki.
Aki was the biggest weapon we had, because, due to her knowledge of the omniverse and her experiences dealing with existence both in and out side the grasp of time, she had the ability to kill an enemy and have them stay dead, cancelling out the time-lock's effect on them. She tried recreating the power in weaponry, but the best she could do was help us arrange cells that the defeated enemies could be contained and trapped in.
All the battles took place on Azuryun, except for the last one, in which Aki managed to create and help mass produce phase-shifters that allowed the entire fighting force to invade Quantinusia.
The fighting force kept the Quantusians busy, while Aki went after the nameless being in charge. Unfortunately, somehow the being(Who identified himself as: Jonytan the Immortal) had somehow managed to put me in a coma and capture me. At this point, me and Aki had become..really intimate, romantically and.." Gwen blushes a second. "otherwise. Aki however, knew the dangers if Jonytan won, and in spite of herself, sacrificed me to save TH-192. Jonytan's body died, but he apparently escaped into the Astral Realm, which when entered just after exiting his Quantusian body, sent out a temporal and magical energy feedback pulse which canceled out the time-lock completely.
It was the end of the time war of TH-192, but at the cost of one casualty, me. Aki, however, refused to give up on me, and did something even the Azuryuns didn't know was possible. Using something(even now I, nor anyone else know what it was), she pulled my soul out of the afterlife, and then out of the celestial system, putting me in her situation.
After that, we settled down in a nice place in The Northeastern Continent, where Aki got two jobs, one as a beta-tester for various technologies(mainly Automail, Full and Non-Full Cyborgism Experiments, and Braincase Systems, Aki's mastery over her self-propelled reincarnation was invaluable), and another as an R&D Consultant for the creation of various technologies.
During Aki's job as a beta-tester, she collected various bodies for multiple uses(Which you may see sooner or later). We lived a good life until the end of our bodies' biological lives(Human biological lives had stretched to a ridiculous lifespan in the years before and after the war), when we left our physical bodies to travel the omniverse as a loving couple. We visited about ten worlds, then started making our way to the CO Multiverse, a world Aki said would be fun.
That was the events of the war, next up, the last section: Natural Inter-Universe-Entry Devices!
Natural Inter-Universe-Entry Devices
Me and Aki's main form of inter-universal travel is to go through the astral realm as souls, and create physical forms for ourselves when we enter a physical universe from the energy around us, but that's actually a bit of a brute force way. Millennia ago, all the universes in the omniverse were open for travel between them, through natural gateway dimensions that were run by guardians.
One world, known as Erinn, still has this gateway dimension, and it's guardian. in almost all other worlds though, these gateway dimensions have been sealed, and their guardians, disappeared.
No one knows why, and Aki doesn't even have a single theory for it. Now the only way to go another universe, even Erinn, is through the astral plane(Though when going to Erinn, you'll be automatically redirected to their gateway dimension).
These gateway dimensions usually existed much like an out of continuity room, they had no location, but could access anywhere and anywhen in their assigned universe.
