Information

The Quantum League is a superhuman alliance similar to The Silver Age Sentinels, The Champions, and The Adventurers. Organized in Champions Online by @skyrimhogwarts, the Quantum League was created to allow role players to play out their superhero fantasies without being limited to only the content given within Champions Online. Most - if not all - of The Quantum League’s story arcs come from original, powerfully thought out content created by members within the supergroup. As a community, members within The Quantum League view each other as a family; thus, treating one another with respect, charity, and love.

The Quantum League’s missions take them through supernatural investigations, covert operations, journeys to other dimensions, space-fights, and large-scale battles. Sometimes teaming up with other well-known super teams, The Quantum League are ready and willing to help out in almost every area they are needed in. The Quantum League takes thematic cues from well-known teams such as The Avengers, The X-Men, The Incredibles, The Fantastic Four, The Guardians of the Galaxy, The Justice League, and The Teen Titans. The Quantum League also has a heavy stylistic influence from the Modern Era of Superheroes in comic books, movies, and television.

The Quantum League’s members are organized in a hierarchical chain of command: Commander, Captain, Field Officers, Core Members, League Members, and Recruits. All members start out as a Recruit. After participating in three successful Quantum League roleplay events (without any negative setbacks), Recruits are promoted to full Quantum League Membership Status. From there, further activity will eventually lead passionate members toward Core Membership, where they will be highly regarded, valued, looked up to, and respected among all other ranks. From this point, Core Members are looked upon in the event that new Field Officers are needed, in which case they will be appointed.

When observing potential recruits, The Quantum League looks for members with complex, well thought-out, and presentable characters who - if a part of the League - will represent us well, not only aesthetically, but in public and roleplay settings. High quality applicants tend to have visually established character designs, complex backstories, and thought out character arcs; all-the-while, being creative, approachable, and positive people to be around. It is important to us that every member stands out in their own unique way that sets them apart and makes them easily identifiable among other members.

History

In Early 2020, a reclusive superhero called The Chameleon witnessed an altercation between a super soldier and a young hero known as Blueberry, the leader of The Prism Girls. The Super Soldier was sent by a villain, Paramount, to capture Blueberry and the rest of The Prism Girls. Paramount had arrived on planet Earth to not only track down her past super soldier experiments, but to expand her project to those she knew couldn’t fight back. Intervening on the altercation between Blueberry and the Super Soldier, Chameleon was able to stop this attack, but by doing so, she had then become Paramount’s next target. With high stakes, Chameleon and a team of local superheroes were forced to work together in order to stop Paramount’s super soldier experiments.

Sacrificing herself as a Trojan Horse to allow the team to comprehend Paramount, Chameleon was experimented on by Paramount to the point her heart stopped beating. After comprehending Paramount, the heroes brought Chameleon to a Superhero Hospital within Millenium City. Later that night, when it was apparent that all hope was lost, Reclusa, watched as Chameleon reawakened with superpowers. The next morning, after Chameleon’s release from the hospital, the group were informed that Paramount successfully escaped her imprisonment during her transport to Stronghold Prison. The team worked together in a final effort to defeat Paramount once and for all. In a large battle between this rag-tag alliance of D-List heroes, Paramount and the super soldiers in her aid were ultimately defeated, sending Paramount into hiding.

Later that week, the heroes who were essential to Paramount’s defeat were called together for a secret meeting in Downtown Millenium City, Michigan. Michael Trent, a wealthy scientist and business mogul in Millenium City had the offer of a lifetime. These heroes would sign on to form an official A-List Legion of Superheroes. On March 20, 2020, Chameleon, Reclusa, Crusher, Vortex, Dreamcatcher, Captain Mockery, Blueberry, and Coyote became the official founding members of The Quantum League.

TrentIndustries

The Trent Industries Office Building (Downtown Millennium City, Michigan).

Founded by Michael Trent, the older brother of Reclusa, Trent Industries is a research-oriented private organization, similar to Harmon Laboratories, focused on Quantum Science and Interdimensional Exploration. Having cracked the code to safe Interdimensional travel, Trent Industries initiated the testing of a large device prototype that could open a dimensional rift within a chosen space. While the device worked, the testing led to the accidental creation of tears within this universe, opening random dimensional rifts across the planet. In an effort to fix what they had started, they utilized another device that would track these dimensional rifts as they occurred. Being that these portals did access other dimensions, the other side also were given access to this dimension, leading to the displacement of extra-dimensional wanderers and extra-dimensional attacks. Without the firepower necessary to solve this, Michael Trent realized that they would need the help from those who could both calm down the masses and defend against these threats - Superheroes.

While observing heroes at a local Superhero Hospital, Michael Trent was drawn to a small unit of heroes. He witnessed as they checked a seemingly deceased Chameleon in that night. Among these heroes was a familiar face, Michael’s younger sister operating under the alias of Reclusa. Interacting with the doctors and nurses about the heroes’ situation, Michael saw potential in this team and saw that this could be the team of heroes his company needed. Michael witnessed the final battle between this team and Paramount.

Receiving Chameleon’s contact information from the Hospital, Michael was able to get in touch with the other heroes as well. By the end of the week, this rag-tag group of heroes would be molded into The Quantum League, a highly trained, A-List, fighting force. Led by their Commander, The Chameleon, this team would help fix the dimensional crisis Trent Industries started, supplying them with an aircraft called The A.N.D.R.O.M.E.D.A. as their headquarters.

Over the course of the next six months, The Quantum League achieved much success in their endeavors, rising in popularity and growing in numbers, however, the League strived to operate independently, resulting in several differences. Michael had many pursuits in the superhero industry that he felt The Quantum League could not satisfy, such as the Star-Lite Initiative, which would inject leaguers with a chemical called Star-Lite, harvested from an extraterrestrial superheroine known as Jadestar. Knowing that some of their members could potentially die from these experiments, The Quantum League refused, especially having technically lost one of their own facing Paramount. Regardless, Michael was unrelenting.

Over the next few weeks, Trent Industries appealed to the homeless and powerless, convincing them to partake in an underground version of these experiments. The experiments started out with over 200 test subjects. By the end of the Star-Lite Initiative, only 23 remained. These numbers dwindled even more in the following weeks as some subjects experienced severe immune responses to the Star-Lite Chemical. With just 11 subjects left, Michael Trent’s organization organized these subjects into a new - and improved - fighting force, The Major League. The members of The Major League were Overclock, Diva, Tremor, Hive, Terabyte, Impact, Red Racer, Catwalk, Mister Sly, and Weaver. Using social media as their primary popularity tactic, The Major League achieved minor popularity under the false guise of The Quantum League’s replacement. This move began to harm the public reputation of The Quantum League.

Eventually, the Quantum League were able to expose Michael Trent’s corruption, as well as the illegal experiments he organized, leading to his ultimate arrest. Afterwards, the Major League’s leader, Overclock, defected to become a member of The Quantum League under Chameleon’s tutelage, starting a tense rivalry between The Quantum League and The Major League.

Now owned by Anna Trent, Trent Industries has resorted back to its initial purpose, expanding its mission to the betterment of superhuman safety and livelihood. The Quantum League are no longer affiliated with Trent Industries!

The Andromeda (Aerospace Neutralization, Destabilization, Research, and Observation Mechanism for Extra-Dimensional Anomalies). Current Pilot: Chameleon.

The Aerospace Neutralization, Destabilization, Research, and Observation Mechanism for Extra-Dimensional Anomalies - better known by its acronym 'The Andromeda' - is both The Quantum League's home and primary base of operation. This highly armored vehicle is comprised of various rooms and facilities to complement members' needs in the event that they travel to another dimension for an extended period of time. The Quantum League was given The Andromeda to aid in the completion of their initial mission and purpose: aiding Trent Industries in cracking down on Dimensional Anomalies within their dimension. While under the umbrella of Trent Industries, The Quantum League utilized The Andromeda heavily, and for many of them, it became their home; so much so that after The Quantum League's succession from Trent Industries, they embarked on an operation with the sole purpose of stealing it back from Trent Industries' grasp. Recalibrated by Quantum League Captain, Glitch, the ship is now theirs permanently. While accessible upon welcome, The Andromeda's advanced security system only allows members of The Quantum League to enter freely.

ENTRANCE ROOM / HALLWAY:

Decked out with a plethora of rooms and amenities, The Andromeda is a multi-purpose powerhouse. The ship's versatile nature allows The Quantum League to operate effectively at all times.

To enter The Andromeda, one must be acknowledged by the recognition system, or be buzzed in by a member on-board. Upon entry, passengers are immediately met with a small room in which they are Radial Scanned. During this process, CORA, The Andromeda's A.I., checks for extra-dimensional beings, symptoms of sicknesses/diseases, and League Membership. Next, a Decontamination Serum is ejected from miniature slots within the room. This room prevents unwanted entities from entering the ship, ultimately protecting The Quantum League from intruders and the dangers they may bring. From The Entrance Room, one enters a long hallway that extends out toward a sliding door leading to the Central Command Center.

Born from into wealth within the outskirt hills of Millenium City, all of Chanelle Perry’s wants and needs were handed to her on a golden platter. Growing up under the guise of the “Daddy’s Girl”, Chanelle was groomed into the idea that one day she would take over the family business, Perry Enterprises. Despite all of the material blessings so close within her reach, Chanelle learned the hard way that the grass isn’t always green where it appears to be. By her eighteenth birthday, Chanelle grew an intense disposition to her family’s ways, especially after finding out her own father was responsible for the death of her late boyfriend, Kyle.

Taking matters into her own hands, Chanelle’s life path eventually led her to train under the tutelage of the superhero, Reclusa. At one point, Chanelle even operated as a vigilante alongside her ex-girlfriend Vanessa. Now, Chanelle dons the persona known far and wide as The Chameleon, constantly fighting in the defense of those who need it. As the Commander of The Quantum League, Chanelle can use her life experience and superhero expertise to help guide the next generation of heroes.

Real Name: Carlos Hernandez

Carlos Hernandez volunteered as a test subject for Trent Industries' attempt to create their own super-heroes and replace the ever-growing headache that their current team, The Quantum League, became. Handpicked from a group of successful experiments, Carlos was chosen to lead the company's newer, bigger, and better team, The Major League.

While the Quantum League legitimately tried to do good and help others, the Major League was quite their opposite, caring only about media hype and sponsorship contracts. Overclock and his team were the puppets any business company could only dream of, with Carlos himself being the pinnacle of all those selfish aspects.

After realizing The Chameleon's plan to expose CEO Michael Trent's true intentions regarding The Star-Lite Experiments, Carlos had a change of heart and defected to the side of The Quantum League, in an attempt to actually do some good and help people this time.

Real Name: Darrell Trevors
Skills/Abilities: Datakinesis, Phase-Shifting, Holographic Projections, Frequency Manipulation.

Darrell Trevors was once a member of the vigilante hacktivist group known as eLite_Circuit and while he was brilliant for his age, he was also incredibly arrogant and stubborn. It was because of these flaws that led to Darrell involuntarily starting a turf war between eLite_Circuit and a rival hacker group known as HaDoCk.

After agreeing to meet with eLite_Circuit at the Millennium City docks and shipping yard, HaDoCk attempted to do away with the hacktivists in one flail swoop through the use of a destructive device known as The Polychoron, but this instead bestowed the group with an array of digital powers, including Darrell.

Wanting to right his wrongs and save his friends from the new powers that quickly corrupted them, Darrell rebranded himself as a superhero under his former screen-name: Glitch.

Starting off as a lone wolf in the beginning, Glitch's travels eventually led him to The Quantum League, where he acts as the team's wise-cracking, but insightful tech expert and field officer.

Real Name: Jada 'Clarissa' Jones
Skills/Abilities: Viradeon Physiology, Near-Invulnerability, Flight, Heat Vision.
League Rank: FIELD OFFICER

Headstrong, confident almost to the point of being overconfident, loyal. Has a sense of humor despite being shitty at telling jokes. (All the sarcasm.) Deep down, Jada is just another alien being arriving on Earth and slowly adjusting to life here. Her reason for being down on Earth is hunting down a Viradeon Terrorist. She's ended up joining The Quantum League for assistance in this endeavor.

She does however suffer a slight one-track mind or tunnel vision when it comes to whatever objectives she's got going on. Also, her overconfidence sometimes poses an issue along with dealing with others in certain circumstances. Despite her flaws, Jadestar is a protective and nurturing person who uses her Viradeon abilities to protect others.

Real Name: Darin Valdorin
Skills/Abilities: Super Speed, Rapid Healing Factor, Super Strength.

Vortex is one of the founding members of the team. He plays a very key support role by providing Fast damage control and Civilian duty for most missions. Recon and information gathering is a skill Vortex loves to use. Being an older member of The Quantum League, Vortex often tries to keep everyone in high spirits with quippy dad puns and jokes. He does his best to keep the newer and younger members safe, if possible, on their missions. Providing Lessons as often as he can. Vortex is a father and as such he cares for his teammates like he does his son. He will always find time to comfort his team and provide a warm sense of home for all.

Vortex's connection to the Chrono Current allows him to Travel at Crazy speeds, harness, and see Electronic signatures. The Chrono Current provides a protective aura that protects Vortex when moving at high speeds, along with anyone he carries while running. Vortex can create, well, a Vortex from his speed at will nearly anywhere. He can also heal at incredible rates thanks to the Chrono Current. In Vortex's younger years, he had access to an energy source that provided him with large energy pools of Strength and Defense. After losing that power, his body absorbed some of that energy, granting him Enhanced Strength.

Alongside her closest friends, Serena visited her human family for a family reunion. During the flight back, it was discovered that they were the targets of a human trafficking ring. Thankfully, The Quantum League was able to intercept, however, this couldn't stop the trauma of the situation from activating Serena's abilities with full force.

Being the lone survivor of the Airplane attack, Serena was forced to develop her abilities under the radar under the surveillance of The Quantum League, eventually joining their ranks. Donning the alias of Sister Salem, her understanding of her powers continues to grow with every experience.

Dionte is a very confident individual. He's always looking for the positive in everything and tries to stay optimistic. Astral-Man however is very quiet and reserved. He likes to observe and formulate a plan before acting. He tends to stay in the back and tries not to be seen or heard until he is ready to speak. His aura gives off a bit of mystery although he is always open and willing to share ideas. Astral-Man prides himself on trying to support and help out wherever needed. He's always about getting justice and doesn't mind getting his hands dirty if the situation calls for it.

Astral-Man relies on his skills as a fighter and knowledge of the astral plane. His powers derive from a small pocket reality in the Astral plane. He can transfer his subconscious there as well as manifest energy from the Astral plane to the physical plane. He uses these abilities to create constructs of weapons, energy bolts and beams, as well as small constructs such as a hoverboard for flight and shields for protection. Even creating small platforms, and equipment. He carries a variety of plastic spheres and rods as plastic is a great conduit for his energy abilities. He tends to lurk in the shadows of Westside and stays away from the spotlight. His favorite weapon of choice would be his broadsword as it usually his go to weapon in combat.

From transitioning several times; being kidnapped in his youth; waking up to the death of his parents; losing his best friend, and being spiritually tainted, Riley C. Ruiz's past is hard to swallow. Riley suffers from a speech impediment, claustrophobia, and a somewhat unknown mental dysfunction. Telepaths and Aura Readers tend to get a gut feeling not to enter his mind, despite Riley's susceptibility to psionic attacks. Once his brain wraps around the psychiatric tricks, however, he can find his way out.

Riley can see paranormal entities. Although most spirits don't take too kindly to being seen without permission, Riley is like a paranormal beacon. Next, Riley has the power of Intangibility. Being able to phase through solid matter is great, however, getting stuck isn't. Sometimes, hiccups occur and it activates spontaneously, so accidents during work or daily activities happen. Lastly, Riley has Invisibility, which fits his slyness and shy nature; although it also hiccups or during nightmares or embarrassing moments. Riley's lack of control over his powers could be because he is a deeply unhinged individual, so he says things that he came up with his psychologist to calm his nerves; though a hug wouldn't hurt either. It's unknown how he got his abilities, but the truth comes closer to fruition as he looks deeper within.

Asriel is from an alternate reality known as Earth SV209 where teleportation was a primary mode of transportation. Superheroes were not needed because a being, known as Oa, defended Earth wielding unimaginable power. Earth SV209 was a utopian civilization, striving peacefully until, for unknown reasons, Oa betrayed its terrestrial residents, massacring them to nigh extinction and twisting the planet to meet its horrific needs. Asriel joined with a group of resistance fighters, but they stood no chance and used teleportation to escape. A year-long meditation taught him to teleport further distances, even through alternate realities. During this, a symbiote of unknown origins and intention became attached to him. From a being called Wroshar, only described as an unending tree, he learned that the symbiote was what sent him to this Earth, where superheroes use their powers to defend the defenseless. Thus, he immediately took on his own mantle. Tesseract now improves upon his powers and uses his knowledge of ancient languages to excel in the realm of dimensional magic, combined with the destructive powers the symbiote possesses.

As a result, Allison is a living “gap” in space-time, a constant source of Chroniton Radiation leaking from the core of her being, which, combined with the initial massive surge in cosmic energies from the incident itself, kickstarted her latent mutant genetic potential into overdrive, her body reacting and adapting to metabolize the surplus cosmological energies suffusing her body, resulting in her current superhuman physiology, with the attendant superhuman strength and resilience.

Additionally, her underlying status as a temporal gap allows her to desynchronize herself from the normal flow of space-time, producing effects similar to teleportation, and in more extreme cases time travel. This is, however, imprecise at best, as Allison’s current status in this timeline is the closest she could manage to her original time, serving as a constant reminder of this.

Blueberry is the mage of the group, using red laser beams and green comets. She wears light armor for minimum protection but it allows her to maintain regular movement without applying strain to her spellcasting. She can also augment her attacks with ice magic.

Blueberry is from a very far away galaxy. A mishap in space travel has stranded herself and the rest of The Prism Girls on Earth. Now they seek to find a way back to where they originally came from, but have become caught up in the happenings on Earth. In the meantime, they have to deal with living in a world full of superheroes and supervillains, a concept that doesn’t exist where they come from outside of fiction.

He is fully regretful of what he has done and wishes to help those nowadays much to the chagrin of Galaxian.

Galaxian, on the other hand, was a headstrong, womanizing, jerk-like hero who took down the Overlord himself. But because Professor Killswitch is being known as a hero, Galaxian went crazy, thinking that if he pushes the good professor hard enough, he'll revert back to being a villain as Galaxian thinks he's not fully rehabilitated. With Killswitch, being the hero he is trying to be, always pushes the villainous side away and will do his best to keep his past from showing up again.

Paramount comes from the Eclipse Star Galaxy, a very far away galaxy. She is the leader of her transhuman organization named Rising Edge. The goal it is to push humans to their very limits using technology, science, and magic. Eugenics and genetic engineering are common practices of her organization. Test subjects, including The Prism Girls, are often people kidnapped and forced into experiments, many whom do not survive the process. Through much trial and error, Paramount has used the results of the successful experiments to augment herself to the point that her brain and heart are her only organic features. Having come after The Prism Girls, Paramount's plot was foiled by a rag-tag team of Superheroes and Vigilantes who later became known as The Quantum League. When The Chameleon sacrificed herself as a Trojan Horse for the rest of the team, Paramount experimented on her, leading to The Chameleon's apparent death. Comprehended soon-after, Paramount made a last-chance effort - a nearly failed attempt - which forced her to use a dark spell to subdue the team before escaping. Disappearing into oblivion, Paramount is considered a priority target in the event of her return.
