Public Knowledge
The People
Neo-X is a hero who fancies himself a super-detective. People know he's apparently got super strength, and isn't half bad at investigating like an actual detective. He's also made several statements that his name is indeed a reference to Mr. X, Detroit's first masked hero from the 40s. As to the specifics of where his investigations lead are unknown. The public only gets the faintest inkling of information from the police.
The Law
Neo-X is an unregistered superhuman suspected of dismantling several criminal activities, including but not limited to drug trafficking, illegal gambling, and underground fighting. While he's dropped info for the police on several occasions, he normally works at taking down the illicit business himself. He appears to hold a preference for less "physical" crimes such as online gambling rings and identity theft rings. He also adds a load paperwork for the police due to his unregistered status and what the thugs call "Excessive Force", demanding his arrest.
The Criminal Element
The general bad guys Neo-X fight against know very little past what most do. Neo-X is something of an enigma to them. More often than not, if they know he was somewhere, it's because of the beaten thugs he leaves behind.
History
Before the Mask
Born as Hyung Suk Phelps to an American father and Korean mother in Orchardsville. Sometime shortly after his birth his parents died due to a supervillain attack on the nearby school, Ravenswood Academy. Orphaned, Hyung Suk was sent to live his closest living relative, his grandmother in Korea.
By the time he entered Middle School he was perpetually busy. Picked up by a relatively small entertainment company as a Trainee. Throughout Middle School to High School he worked hard for a chance at a chance of Idol fame. Why? He's never said. Maybe he felt he needed to be someone big for his deceased parents. Or maybe he wanted the money to pay his Grandmother back for more than a decade of caring for him on her own. Regardless, he wanted it.
When he graduated from High School he officially left behind his Trainee status. He debuted in a Boy Band called 2-B-U. And thankfully for him, they didn't fizzle out like so many groups and solo artists before them. Something clicked and they remained popular past their debut. He used his new found income to continue his education, entering SNU to study computer sciences and engineering.
For four years he juggled University and his pop star life. He graduated with his degree. He was just reaching the height of his popularity. And then the company put his group on a "Hiatus". One of the members was caught in a drug scandal. Since then everyone wandered. Hyung Suk decided to join the military, getting his compulsory duty out of the way while he had the time. He completed his 2 years in the armed forces and since then, has left the country.
Putting On the Mask
Boy band on hiatus. University done. Military service done. Hyung Suk had nothing left to do. But still, he felt like he hadn't done enough. Sure he helped himself and his Grandmother but there was more he could do. There had to be. He decided to go on a personal sabbatical. He returned to his hometown of Orchardsville and dyed his hair, trading his natural blond hair for black and purple.
Whatever possessed him to continue forward and don the mask is something he keeps close to his chest. None-the-less, he took the name of Neo-X, naming himself after the late and great hero Mr. X, a favorite of his.
Personality
Neo-X is a person filled with the need and want to always do better. While this fuels his journey into the superhero world and helps him to always strive to do good and to be kind, it's also left him with worries and self doubt. The worry that he'll reach a ceiling and feel incomplete. The fear that no matter what he does he'll never feel fulfilled. It all swirls together in a flurry of conflicting emotions and feelings. He's left a man who hides his emotions under a guise of happy-go-lucky foreigner.
Powers
Boosted Adrenaline Reaction
Neo-X's body has a much more potent reaction to adrenaline flooding his system. This causes his body's natural Flight or Fight responses to be much stronger than the regular human. This includes but isn't limited to, Enhanced Strength, Enhanced Agility, Increased Energy Production and Consumption, and Heightened Anger.
Minor Regeneration
Probably his most important power. Neo-X is prone to injury due to the adrenaline in his body boosting his pain tolerance to inhuman levels. While slow, his body's natural ability to heal is strong, allowing him to eventually heal from normally debilitating injuries.
Abilities
Computers & Programming
Neo-X is adept at computer sciences and engineering. He's been noted to use a field laptop he constructed himself and apply a variety of self-made programs for hacking.
Martial Arts
Neo-X is shown to be a mixed martial artist, applying a variety of techniques from different styles such as kick boxing and Tae Kwon Do. He appears to heavily favor Hwa Rang Do however.
Military Training
While he never mentions having any formal military training, he's received basic training from somewhere.
Equipment
Field Hacking Set
One custom built field laptop with an accompanying flash drive. Both are filled to the brim with custom programs for hacking various systems.
