Muse is one of ten daughters of Aphrodite, born to inspire and heal those in need. She is the seventh sister and last to remain true to her birth task. I was born forth from my mothers forehead far before time was a thought in the human mind. A product of a torrid love affair between Aphrodite and Hermes ten muses born full grown from our dear mother. Time spent in her rooms on Olympus sheltered from the world only her consorts for company ages past man grew strong in the world and mothers little absences grew more and more frequent. My sisters and I began to become restless in our rooms we started taking little adventures to Earth to whisper into the hearts of man inspiration for a great many things. Beauty and prosperity followed our whispers and we were content. 

Then Ash was brought in to serve my mothers whims a dragon fierce yet beautiful scales of purple covering the whole of him my eyes begged me to follow him and gaze upon the unique being. Never before had I seen something so lovely and fierce. My sisters though did not see him as I did he was lowest of our servants a dragon to be spat upon and ignored. Daily my sisters and I were sneaking off to Earth but I started making excuses to stay behind I just wanted more time with Ash. No matter my efforts Ash would never look me in the eye he knew his place in our society. 

Exasperated that my efforts were leading to nowhere I stole into my mothers room one night and took from her shelves a charm to tame Ash into my bed. Oh that night, I can still taste the metallic flavor of his sweat and the sent of our efforts permeating my chambers. Charmed for but a few hours into loving me as I loved him I had no idea the consequences of my actions would be anything more than his eternal loathing upon the breaking of the charm. I made my choice I thought I could deal with the results till dawn broke and my mothers guards came in force to bring us before her judgment. 

Ash was livid it took 10 of my mothers best guard to keep him in his place. The pure hatred rolling off of him in waves as his gaze met mine crushed any thought in my mind that I had done the right thing. The second blow to my heart was looking upon my mothers face for the first time she was disappointed in me and could not bear to look at me. Devastation, I looked down for the first time humbled not a goddess able to have her own will in things but one who would do anything to get her own way. That moment came my first vow to myself "I will never dominate or control" a lesson learned by the hatred burning in Ash's eyes. First mighty Aphrodite enraged and humiliated by her daughters actions cast Ash down to underworld to work for Hades in any manner as long as he never stepped foot among the living again. I watched in horror as flames swept him from my mothers court his parting words for my ears only "Little betrayer black is your soul this day, may it turn to ash and wither..." That is the last my eyes ever set upon him and a burden I shall always carry. As the last of the flames vanished I once again looked up upon my mother her voice cold and sharp as any knife "Seven, you had the world my daughter anything a mothers love could give you was at your command. None of this has taught you the value of who you are. Leave. You are not welcome here any longer. Olympus shall not be your home you will walk among the mortals till time ends." I heard the cries of my sisters as I floated down to earth. 

Rejected but resolved I can do good here, looking upon the humans, they need me I will help.

Muses' Pocket Full of Memories

A withered shakey hand pushes the charcoal across the canvas.

"When did his hands start shaking?"

I reach out to help steady the hand.

Dull blue eye's reflect the joy of my love but his hand stops moving. 

"No love don't give up it is beautiful" I cry out but only his heart hears me.

Suddenly the shaking stops he colapses forward in his chair falling he is not breathing anymore the spark of life I adore has been pulled from him. I couldn't save him everyone has their time to be pulled away by the heel. "Why?!" Sorrow overwhelms me, tears flow down my face falling gently onto his lifeless body. "My ward, my love, my heart." A soft glowing stone appears where my tears pooled on the corpse in front of me. Smooth well rounded and the lightest shade of dove gray, I snatch it up quickly, kissing it once, allowing myself the moment of comfort it brings. "Never forgotten, I promise" The glowing stone gets tucked away in a pocket filled with other memories each unique as the people they represent. 
Resolve. "One day there will be no tears"

I step away after allowing myself one last glance at the unfinished canvas. His finest work unfinished. -sigh- There is nothing left for me here. Down the street a sound catches my ear. Is that? Could it be? My feet move as my heart leaps at the sound...

In her time as a hero Muse has been through many powerful events with many friends.

The Forgotten and the Haven. A dear friend of Muse's named Gray started up a charity soup kitchen and orphanage for super powered children in Westside. Muse worked at the Haven with unknown job responsibilities other than the nightly lullaby for the youngest of the wards. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=utnXHH-Bbws


While working there she had many an adventure with the staff and young wards but as with all things in time Muse felt the call to help the world in other ways leaving the Haven and the Forgotten in the care of her trusted friends. From time to time she would go back when they needed her most. The Haven has no closed it's doors as all of the wards have been adopted into loving families. The Forgotten still are out there working to combat the evil that plagues the world. Muse from time to time can be seen with them helping however she can.

Once long ago Muse made a promise to herself that she would never forget any who's live she had chance to touch and has made a stone for each across the years and span of her life. Ten her sister stole these stones from her one fateful night at the club when Muse was in a drunken stupor. Forced to reform her physical being three times in that month, then having her memory stones stolen she was very vulnerable. Without her memories she could not keep her promise to never forget. "I will never forget to love I will always remember those I love. I will never dominate or control" Without this mantra and her memories she could very well turn into a being like her sister hate filled cruel an domineering. 
Events turned for the worse for our fair Muse when she made a deal that costed more than be bargained for and filled her with rage. Thankfully the Forgotten and a few others came to her aide finding and returning her memory stones and stopping her ascent into evil though sadly not soon enough to stop damage to a dear friend. Many hold that day against Muse and she has nothing but regret and shame for what happened. New resolve and mantra restored thanks to her friends she will never allow it to happen again. 

Strangely enough all these events broke ties with some of her previously closest friends and tied her to a few others she had not previously known. Young Jack Convoy was born in the turmoil from a mix of Muse's unformed essence and his fathers psyche making him believe Muse is his mother though she hand no hand in his birth. Those who were still close to Muse became busy with other projects leaving her to think she was mostly alone.

After everything Muse found comfort in Maxwell as it seemed the world started to shun her for the day of darkness. She took a vow of silence till hope could be restored but sunk into a deep depression and started to allow herself to fade from the world having lost hope.

Depression struck our fair Muse a few months ago and she started to stay inside more and more often hiding from friends and in general just being un Muse like. On of the darker days she disappeared all together slipped from this world as the belief of her existence grew weak. The void nothingness then the feel of her sisters trapped with her. Ten muses bound in nothingness brought there by what? Who knows why? Slowly they fought for their very lives the right to exist. Our little Seven the weakest and most human of her sisters hid trying to save her sisters from their self destruction. Nothing she did could stop Ten and Two from tearing what was left of the others apart and devouring their essences. Only Three sisters remained but the true power the love of the muses slain gathered in the body of Seven and she burst free of the void her evil kin clinging to her heels as she returned to this realm. Having no power over her evil sisters they left her as soon as they came back more powerful and wicked than before. 

Muse alone frightened possessed by the souls of the muses past return was painful. nothing that once made sense made sense anymore. Memories felt all at once ages and ages everything her sisters and herself felt washed over her. No emotion was kept from poor Seven. Remembering her friends of this age she came to them hoping they would see her distress and offer comfort. No comfort is found when you disappear and return she shortly found all her friendships once strong strained by the stress of her absence. Who could help her? Who would help her? What stole her from this world in the first place?

Muse was reciently convinced by her dear friend Gabe to help this wonderful group out. She is quite happy to be a part of their lives now and looks forward to assisting them as much as she can.

So Far Muse's duties among the group have been healing the occasional injury and passing out hugs to the members. She is very happy to have found somewhere to help like minded friends and looks forward to further adventures.

Pulled from the minds of those around her she can look like anything she pleases as long as it is female and has her amazingly bright green eyes. She has a lot of fun playing about with the color of her skin and the cloths on her back and she shifts through them so quickly did you blink is she orange or was that pink?

It is common knowledge that Muse is not very strong at all in fact she is incapable of even opening a water bottle on her own, Keeping up a physical form is so much work that she has to focus most of her effort keeping up her appearance. Feeling and appearing right is important to Muse she has not had a body for long and wants people to see her as real.

Overwhelming negative emotions can send Muse into a comatose state. Her survival and sustenance is the love and joy of others.

Some say love is a weakness and if so Muse defiantly has that weakness.

Muse is partial owner of "Angry Panda Productions" a charity that donates proceeds from shirt sales to troubled youth programs all over the world.

Has a rather large staff of adoring paper pushers they take up the two stories bellow her apartment and take care of all her legalistic matters as well as her multiple charity and monetary interests.

Is Worshipped as a goddess much to her protest.

Works at times in bit parts on different movie productions.

Thinks all kids just eat fruit and cookies.

Believes adults live off of Nachos, Pizza and Alcohol.

Wakes up every morning to the calling of another artistic soul she needs to attend to.

Owns a large share of Libronsphechey Technologies though the only thing she knows of the company is they make rather nice friendly robots.

Never locks her door and has six friends who live in her rather large temple like three story apartment.

Really did shut down those beacons after being unable to inspire the Qularr to dance.

Does not like to wear shoes but chooses to do so as to appear more normal, though can still be caught from time to time shoeless.

She feels extreme guilt anytime one of the people she has met is injured or dies.

A lot of research went into the making of muse. She is loosely based on Eurphrosyne if she were a daughter of Aphrodite there is some text that does refer to the graces being the daughters of Aphrodite and Dionysus but more commonly and possibly more accurately if mythos can be accurate they are held to be the daughters of Zeus and Eurynome. I chose not to name a specific Muse/Grace/Charity because I did not wish to be someone already known to the world as I wished to tell Muses story the way it came to me. I chose Hermes as her father to further distance her from any existing mythos. Apologies to you if you are a study of archaic religions and Muse offends your senses she is not meant to do so. She is meant to be a fun and enchanting somewhat ditzy immortal who just wishes to help.

As a player I will always ask first before I "lol you are all better". If you do not want to be healed that is fine with me. Yes it is difficult to balance in rp how much a magical healer can do. My form of balance is usually Muse can only do as much as the person she is working on believes she can do. Be that just easing pain for hospital transport or the more amazing rebuilding their broken body. This gives you the player being healed the chance to decide how much you want it to work. The larger the injury the more effort Muse puts out this does cause her extreme exhaustion as well as other unrevealed consequences.
